ArtVenture Contest: A Romantic Ruin Tower in Moscow
Good morning, early birds!
I'm starting off the day by entering the Art-Venture Photography Contest with the theme “Mysterious Beauty of Autumn”.
After digging through my collection of photos taken last year in Moscow, I've found this photo with gorgeous golden colours. This romantic building is the ruin of a fortification tower which you can find in the Tsaritsyno Park.
Its architect was Ivan Egotov and it was built in 1804.
After the Empress Catherine the Great passed away, the Tsaritsyno Park turned into a popular place to relax and enjoy the nature for the locals. You'll see many cheerful families walking around but above all, you'll come across couples in love - on their romantic promenades. Before, it was Catherine's private park.
At the moment, this old tower has the nickname of "Devil's Staircase" (Чертова лестница) because it's very easy to climb and really hard to go down.
Over time the structure deteriorated a lot and was even used by rock climbers in the 20th century. In 2007, the ruin tower was re-opened to the public after going a restoration process. Right now, it is protected and maintained by the local authorities.
I you are ever in Moscow, take a Metro and head to this park. It's a 30 minute ride but you won't be disappointed.

really? people will fall in love with this place. Wow nice, but even if there's no meaning with this place. I would love to go in a place like this. It seems quite and nice place to relax..

Autumn is sort of missing, where I live in. This year we went straight from Summer into Winter.
