"Pick a Word, Paint a Story #12"

It is another week of "pick a word, paint a story 12 and three powerful words has been given to choose from.

Since my existence, my whole life has been hinged on "Faith".
I wasn't born with a silver spoon, no inheritance anywhere so everything I am today comes as a result of my unwavering faith in God.
As I was growing up I discovered that in my family you don't achieve things on a platter but you "must" pray for whatever you need to come to you, so that's how I developed and built my faith in order to be able to counter whatever pattern that's going on in my family.

For instance: In my family there's a pattern of late marriage especially to the females, have seen that in the lives of my cousins who are my seniors and it's also happening in my life. I am in my late 30s but I'm yet to settle down maritally.
But with Faith it is going to come to pass soon because I have hope for it and I am certain that I'll see the evidence (that is faith).

Another word for "Faith" is "To believe".
For instance; sleeping and waking up in the morning hale and hearty is not our rights but a privilege.
We just believe through faith that we shall wake up from the sleep in the morning.

How I love this quote from Martin Luther king Jr that says:

"Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."

Imagine this scenario: You gave birth to a child as a mother from day one you nurture the child by bathing, breastfeeding and so on, you guide the child through different stages of growth from crawling, learning how to sit on his/her own without falling, then began to hold something to stand to practice walking and eventually the child is able to walk and run around the house.

Even if the child stresses your life out from tending to him or her you won't regret giving birth to the child and then boooom the child becomes a grown adult you still Carter for the child's needs and upbringing. And I ask "why are you doing all of these?

The answer is not far fetched my darlings. It is the FAITH or BELIEVE you have in the child that one day he or she would grow to become great in life and he or she would in turn takes care of you as the parent.
