RE: One Of My Big Dreams

in #vanlife7 years ago

Hi, I have the dream as well. At this point I don't own a van but am investing in cryptos watching my savings grow much faster than if I had a traditional savings account. I however practice the wayfaring lifestyle by driving a semi truck around the Midwest. Slowly I'm realising my dream. This year I learned to Whitewater kayak. So now if the opportunity presents itself I can haul my boat along and enjoy many standing waves located along my travels. Currently I also belong to a few kayaking clubs and can discover different clinics and trips on their various message boards. This passed spring and summer I was able to travel from North Carolina all the way accross to Montana. On my weekends off I travel to Wisconsin and Minnesota in an old pickup truck I bought for a fair price at auction. The front seat is just big enough for me to lay accross for resting. I also own backpacking gear that is easily used for longer trips where tenting is more comfortable. Whether in my pickup or semi I prepare my own meals on a small camp stove so I avoid the expense of dining out. My last biig purchase was a cooler that plugs into the cigarette lighter do I can enjoy freas fruit, veggies, cheese and meat. My dream is to travel through Colorado and the Pacific Northwest Kayaking on the many waters there. Long term, there are places in South America and Europe that enjoy the sport. For now I live frugally and purchase short peroids of freedom. Who knows, someday with the help of cryptos I may obtain long term freedom. Plan b is to become a guide or instructor, enjoying and sharing/teaching the sport to others. Thanks for reading.
