FADED ROSE. (An original Poem)
Your stolen beauty, I sadly mourn.
Your crimson radiance and vibrant hue
Will be gone forever, I know that's true.
That beauty you seek, resides in me
This life we cherish. It cannot last
Look to the future. Not the past.
Your former beauty, I cannot forget
I need to inhale your perfume sweet
With you in my life, I am complete.
And listen intently if you please
I am the flower that keeps on giving
My legacy rich, is for the living.
My heart beats fast; Yours is slow
I sense in you an inner peace
How do I find that sweet release?
Use faith my friend and do not reason.
My life's not over, It's just begun
I leave this world to greet the sun.
And let your appearance cloud my mind?
True beauty is not a thin veneer
It never fades; It doesn't disappear.
Telling you truths that are not new
There's more to life than meets the eye
On temporal things you can't rely.
The essence of you; it only grows
Your rosehip seeds you freely give
Enabling others life to live
That life and creation is divinely planned
On God my friend you can depend
From Him, you’ll learn there is no end.
