Artificial Intelligence (AI) is becoming a useful tool for many industries. The healthcare industry is in need of help, as critical shortages of nurses and potential burnout of practitioners exist in the field. AI can help the healthcare industry by functioning as a powerful tool to remove administrative tasks and allowing workers in the field to focus on efficiency and effectiveness.

AI chat bot protocols, with Google’s Bard and OpenAI’s ChatGPT as examples, have the potential to help practitioners optimize their time with patients. Patient processing, administrative functions and data processing and analysis are all aspects of healthcare that AI excels at and that can be managed by AI so practitioners can focus on the technical aspects of their job.

AI has the ability to function as a tool, and not as a replacement for workers. AI can be used to gather and analyze health data both for individuals and the community to save clinicians and public health workers time. AI can also help with medical billing functions due to the proliferation of cost-center codes. Data issues cost the medical industry approximately $300 billion annually, and medical practitioners spend an inordinate time completing paperwork that AI can handle.

An example of a company in the AI healthcare space is Amelia. Amelia is a conversational AI platform that operates in many customer service industries. Amelia helps to route callers with healthcare questions, provide training and assist employees with basic functions that take up their time. Amelia works with clients including Visionworks and Aveanna Healthcare to increase productivity and efficiency.

AI can be feared or embraced. Being able to enable humans to focus on their specialties and to identify continuous improvement opportunities is essential for growth. A major nurse shortfall is projected to occur in 2030, and AI can remove nonessential paperwork and administrative processing from their job to alleviate this issue. In these instances, shortfalls in essential personnel can be staved off using AI tools. AI chat bots have already proven themselves worthy of investment and use in crucial industries.

A Steemit Exclusive

So, this actually isn't a "Steemit Exclusive"? I don't have any objection to people posting on multiple platforms, but please don't label it as exclusive when it's not.

@remlaps I am sorry, I have posted some content to other platforms and went on autopilot with the steemit exclusive. It won't happen again, and I love this community and don't want to strain our good relationship. No disrespect.

Understood. It's an easy oversight, so no worries. Thanks for the reply!
