“Feel Like Home” “感觉像家一样”

It is quite often to come across the phrase “feel like home” as an encouragement for people to visit a certain place or attraction. It implies that the home is always a delightful place. However, it seems ironical to request people to visit and pay for a place to “feel like home”. If it is delighted to be at home, there is not necessary to look for a place like home. Nevertheless, there are reasons to be away from home.

First, there are people who need to be out of home because of certain responsibility such as working in another place to make a living for their families.

The second group who don’t want to be at home, they may do so for the sake of gaining an experience different from staying at home. The expected experience may not give a feeling better than at home. However, it can help to enrich a person’s life through new exposure and learning. The students who are away from home for education are very much under this category. The tourists may also look for similar experience though usually they stay in another place only for a brief time.

The third group of people are disappointed with their own home. They hope to find a better place than their home.

The above three groups definitely do not represent all the people who choose to be away from home irrespective of the span of time. As a matter of fact, the home is intended to be delightful. However, there is no perfect home on earth since we all face constraints related to time and space. It is good to be at a delighted home on earth. But it is vital to explore what it means by having an eternal home, which is usually being referred to as the heavenly home. What an amazing blessing for those who are assured of inheriting such eternal and heavenly home while going through the days in our earthly home!

离开家的第二组人可能是为了要获得与留在家里不同的经历。当然出门的预期经历不一定会比在家的感觉更好。然而，人还是可以通过新的接触和学习来丰富人生。离家到外地接受教育的学生通常属于这一类；而游客也可以寻找类似的体验即使他们通常只会短时间逗留在一个地方。

第三组人则可能是对自己的家园感到失望，他们往外希望找到比自己家更好的地方。

无论时间长短，上述三组人绝对不代表所有选择出门往外的人。事实上，家庭的存在目的应该是令人愉快的，然而，由于我们都面临时间和空间等限制，因此在这地球上没有所谓完美的家园。在地球上能享有一个愉快的家是件好事；但是，很重要的乃是要把握时机探索一个永恒的家园，这通常也被称为天家。对于那些刻在地上的家中生活的人，能够被应许拥有永恒的天家，那的确是極为奇妙的福分。
