Hello, my people, it is indeed another great day for us, and since it is afternoon here, it could be afternoon there, Morning or evening, whatever time it is, wherever you are, I thought it would be nice to share this important and sensitive information to this beautiful family and the steemit platform as a whole.I want to talk about safety during this December/Festive period.

INTRODUCTION

Most people use this time for festivity and as such most times there are casualties, in line with this, it would be wise to consider these safety tips in other to show respect for our lives, our neighbors, and also our creator.

It is often said that life has no duplicate and over a reasonable amount of time this has been proven as a fact. Most people lost their lives as a result of carelessness and that is quite unfortunate, And I know for sure none of us will want to follow such a course. A word, they say, is enough for the wise.

WHAT SHOULD WE AVOID DURING THIS HOLIDAY PERIOD?

🚩Over Drinking:

Before now, over-drinking was not a good habit, even now, it is not. Not good for health when you don’t drink responsibly. So please be mindful of your alcohol intake during this time so that, you don’t see yourself in a huge mess. Many people get killed because of over-drinking. Even if you must take alcohol, drink responsibly. A better life is not promised to anyone who drinks much. Take much water after drinking, this will help minimize alcohol intake, when you put this into consideration, it will help your liver as well.

🚩Driving after drinking heavily:

This is another deathtrap where many folks fall in. it’s quite unfortunate that most of us reading this article may have lost our dear ones in death or may have witnessed when someone dies due to the carelessness of driving after heavy alcohol intake. That being the case, I will urge us all to avoid this unhealthy practice.

🚩Making calls while driving:

Avoid making calls while driving, because you don’t know the message you are about to receive. Yes, it is true, we don’t wish to hear the bad message, it could be a surprising message in which we could be carried away out of excitement and that might make us lose focus on the steering and you know what that can result, right? So, please avoid that while driving.

If you must answer a call while driving, it would be wise to park your car properly, then you can answer/make the call.

🚩Avoid Over speeding:

Over speeding is not what makes you a good driver, rather it is what makes you a reckless driver, and as such a reckless driver is liable to lose his/her life at any moment because he or she is not careful. What’s my point? Drive carefully, do not over speed. Obey all the traffic rules in other to save your life and other folk's lives.
If possible, set a speed limit in your vehicle. It is true it will slow your movement, but then it will also save your life. Think about it, my friends.

🚩Avoid heated Argument:

A heated argument was never a good mental practice even before now. But as you know, during this time, many folks will return from their temporary base to maybe their place of birth. And most people are already going through tough times in life or frustrated per se. So, the least we can do is to be reasonable while having a discussion and if the discussion turns to an unhealthy argument, it will be wise to either end such discussion or walk away.

🚩Avoid Large gatherings:

Yes, you heard me right, avoid it. Now see the reason: Recently a new type of Covid-19 known as Omicron was discovered. And it is termed as a silent killer.
So, let’s all be safety conscious, even if we must attain a gathering, please remember to use a nose mask for your safety and the safety of others. Remember, you don’t know the Covid status of many people who will return from different places.

🚩Avoid exposing valuable possessions:

You will agree with me that the world has become so bad to the point that robbery is even done in broad daylight these days. So please be mindful of where you remove that your expensive gadgets. And avoid showy lifestyles as these could endanger your life to criminals.

CONCLUSION

Applying safety, save lives. Also remember, life has no duplicate. It will be wise if we take all these precautions into consideration. The fact that I mention a car here doesn’t mean that this message is not applicable to pedestrians or a motorcyclist, this information is for everyone. As a matter of fact, you are free to share this message with everyone, share it with your family members, friends, and your colleagues to save their lives.
And please remember to engage in exercise always. Exercise is one great medicine most folks do underrate but trust me, it is one of the greatest remedies to most of our health issues. It also helps in burning calories accumulated from overindulging. It helps reduce stress, it improves heart functions. Be alert while walking on the road, don’t be carried away with discussions. Stay safe and be blessed.
