News - Diary Game [3rd September, 2022]: Attending a friend's Wedding
Last weekend was a moment I wouldn’t forget in a hurry. Once in a lifetime if not all the time, it’s good to have such a moment, I guess I was fortunate. What really happened?
My two friends Maggie and Uchenna got married last week Saturday and I was present at the event, it was a happy day for them and all the well-wishers like me, what more can I say..? I was happy for them and I wish them the best. I thought sharing such a great moment here for memory's sake wouldn’t be a bad idea. It was a great moment…!
Yeah, you heard me, it was a good moment. I started my morning with my routine and I proceeded to prepare for the great event that was about to happen that day, by this time, it was 8:00 am Nigerian time.
It was another great day for two love birds who were going to be joined together as husband and wife.
Attending events like this has almost become a tradition for me this year as this marks the 6th time I have attended such an event and I still have an invitation for about two more to attain this year.

When it was 10:30 am, I left for the event. From my house to the event location was about 25 minutes using a tricycle which is the common means of transportation here. We have other means but using this is very much easier and affordable.
While on movement to the venue, I took time to capture my environment, I believe this will add more life to my publication.

On reaching there I first visited my friend in his hotel room, we spent some time with other friends. The cameraman was already there taking pictures of how he was preparing for the occasion. I guess it was a good start.

On reaching the wedding center, I met with other long-time friends and it was like a reunion. It’s been over three years since I see them, so this wedding was just a reunion for us.
Apart from meeting these old-time friends, there were a lot of things I really appreciate in this wedding venue.

First, the decoration was eye catchy, the romantic view was top-rated. I heard that decorating such an occasion will cost about 1000 steem. I wouldn't know if that's on the high side, that's not my field, but it was nice.
When it was 12 pm the occasion commenced and it was filled with many other invitees who were all happy to reach on time to witness this occasion.
In less than 3 hours the occasion was over. And we all dismissed.

While returning to my house, I took a picture of one popular place in my state capital….and guess where? It was champion breweries. This is where one popular beer called ”champion or state beer” is produced in my state.
It is one of the most consumed beers in my locality. A bottle is sold at 2steem. Though there are other beer drinks that are more expensive than that.
I got to my house by 4 pm and I decided to take a nap because I was so tired. I got refreshed when I woke up.
But something happened that kept me wondering about the lifespan of most technology these days.

Before now my laptop battery could last for about 4 to 5 hours, but later it reduced to about two hours, unfortunately, that evening it showed an alert on the screen to replace the battery.
I was like..oops., is it a dream or a brain teaser? But it was much more than a brain teaser, it was real.
I spent the rest of the day playing with the brain teaser on https://www.braingle.com/ website. It was actually fun, good enough to exercise the brain. I find myself doing this almost everyday. I am still looking for other great sites for this...., feel free to suggest one for me if you know of any.
