The Interview Showcase #95 - Exclusive Talk with A Venezuelan blogger

in Hot News Community6 months ago (edited)

Hello people of Steem and Steemit,

It's a new week, welcome to the 95th edition of “The interview showcase...." and my 19th show for 2024.

If you are new to this page, this lifestyle program has many educational values. A weekly interview of users in the blog concerning some trending topics on the Steemit platform. And tips that can help other Steemians to progress positively and help boost the Steem’s growth.

It will help you to get to know more about Steemians around the globe and even Steem and Steemit itself.

I take time to look at some of the most important topics in the blockchain and have a chat/call with Steemians who have a greater idea about those topics.

They also share some tips that can help other users understand the blockchain and correctly use it. Sometimes they seek valuable suggestions here to help them solve some of their challenges.

In today's edition, I would be talking with a Venezuelan blogger who is super active in the blog and very busy as well in real. However, he has a way of striking a balance in his activities in other to give a quality result. @oneray is his name and he is also a moderator in the "Recreational community".

Ubongudofot
: Hello Oneray , It's my pleasure to have you on my Interview Showcase program today, please tell us, how would you describe your experience on Steemit so far?

🔶Oneray: Simply fantastic. At first, (I think happened to all of us), nothing happened, and I felt like one of the crowd, while I dreamed of those large sums that I saw in the accounts of those who arrived first on the platform. Also, when I came to steemit in July 2017, it was very different from what we see now.

Like many, I left, perhaps somewhat disappointed by the results, however, I did not understand that my results were related to the quality of my articles.

When I returned, about 8 months ago, I started with a zero account, but with a little more experience; I'm not talking about the fact that upon my return I was a writer of excellence, but rather with a mentality of learning and writing from my experience, from the heart and of course, learning about the communities. And I will never tire of saying that, thanks to the guidance and support of @alejos7ven and @blessed-girl, my learning was faster, as was my growth on the platform.

Ubongudofot
: What has been your biggest achievement since you joined the Steemit platform ?

🔶Oneray: My greatest achievement has been being able to achieve each of the goals set; the first 100 steem turned on, belonging to the different clubs, reaching my first dolphin (I will do it next week), and being a community moderator.

Although all of this has been fascinating, my greatest achievement is in the learning I have obtained so far, on how to be better than the day before, both in my writing and in the comments I leave on the publications I visit or should visit to verify.

This, without a doubt, is my greatest achievement: Learning from others.

Ubongudofot
: Presently, you are one of the Moderator in Recreational Steem community, how will you describe the experienced you have?

🔶Oneray: Although one of my goals was to be a moderator in a community, I had no idea how to be one; I thought it was just looking at articles and writing to them in a comment: "Hey, you did it right, or you did it wrong", so, when the Recreative Steem community gave me this wonderful opportunity, I discovered a whole new world for me. A world where learning is constant, to understand the platform more, how to be more human and help those who need it, teaching them the correct way to do things.

I am surrounded by a wonderful team who do not deny their knowledge, or their help when I need it. Of all of them, I am very grateful because they have made me feel that we are more than a team... we are a family.

Ubongudofot
: As a good blogger, what do you think is most needed on the Steemit platform from users?

🔶Oneray: I think there are many good writers whose publications do not receive the attention they deserve, however, the same thing may be happening to others that happened to me at the beginning when I met steemit: Wanting to impress with what I wrote.

For this, I had to search the Internet and copy much of the content, changing words and the order of the paragraphs to avoid plagiarism being noticed. Every day I see a lot of that when the only thing that is needed is to share the things that happen to me every day, writing them in the correct order, well arranged (layout) with my own or free-use photos. When one heart speaks, other hearts listen, and that's where the magic happens..

Ubongudofot
: You write on many topics, especially when it comes to the engagement challenge, do you always have knowledge on all these topics or do you carry out research?

🔶Oneray: I made reading books a habit, and I am passionate about personal growth books like those by Napoleon Hill and Og Mandino, just to name two, since I always have a good library in the country where I am living.

In challenges, I only participate in topics that I already have knowledge of, and when I have doubts, I do research to write from my experience with proven references about a topic. I try not to write about what I don't know because this was precisely what didn't give me results when I started writing on Steemit.

Ubongudofot
: What has been your most successful post?

🔶Oneray: I don't know if I have a successful publication. I just know that some articles I write get votes, some big, some smaller, however, there are some articles where the feedback I get in the comments is great.

Some books did not become Bestseller, but when you read them, they impressively mark your life; Likewise, I have written some articles that have touched the hearts of other bloggers, and in their comments, they show me their appreciation. I think these are the most successful publications I have ever had, even though they did not receive a good vote.

If I touch someone's heart, I will have achieved my goal in writing..

Ubongudofot
: Why do you think it was appealing?

🔶Oneray: If I must talk about a specific article, I would say it was [Are You Fooled by the Food Pyramid? Discover the Truth They Don't Tell You](https://steemit.com/hive-168205/@oneray/te-engana-la-piramide-alimenticia-descubre-la- Verdad-que-no-te-dicen) because, Not only did I receive comments on my writing, but I had many conversations on Telegram talking about this topic, telling them about my experience acquiring a new style of nutrition and how this improved my health and well-being.

I felt fabulously good, guiding other users and I feel comfortable talking about the subject because I am studying to be a nutrition coach, among other things that I study at the same time.

Ubongudofot
: Please could you describe your writing process, from concept to publishing..?

🔶Oneray: My writing process is very simple. If it is a journal, I write the most important thing that happened to me during the day and share my learning. If it is a topic of health or personal growth, I look for the topic, I research my notes and other sources, and I see the result when I apply this to my own life, I write and write, and then I give it form and meaning, I add the images and lastly, I'm looking for a good title; From there, I look for which community I will share my post in.

I try to share 1 post per week in each community to which I subscribe, although I don't always manage to do so.

Ubongudofot
: How do you attract new readers to your blog?

🔶Oneray: Making good comments on your posts; If I want to receive something from the Universe, I just have to give it the same.

Interacting with other users, whether recognized or not, is what makes others come to see what I am sharing. Also at the end of some posts, I recommend reading others of the articles that I have written, and I always try to attract people from other social networks like x.com, which is where I am most actively working.
A good comment can work miracles.

Ubongudofot
: As a family man, how do you balance your real life job with your activities on the steemit platform?

🔶Oneray: Now I work independently, so when I don't have things to do outside the house, I spend a lot of time in front of the computer, and so that this doesn't interfere with my other family occupations, my days start very early in the morning.

I get up between 3 and 5 AM to write my articles, check posts in the community, or research a specific topic, if I lack the fundamentals. To achieve this, I go to bed between 8 and 10 PM.

If I have to go out to work, I do the same routine in the morning and when I return, I turn on the PC and advance my writing. That is the reason why, I do not always write every day, and on other occasions, I publish up to 3 articles on the same day.

Ubongudofot
: Do you think there are some areas in which users needs to work on in order to produce more quality content in the steemit ecosystem? What's your advice to users for a better growth?

🔶Oneray: We must write about the things we know, that we have experienced. It is very easy to detect when a person writes about a scientific topic but is dedicated to the field, that his writing has paraphrased it, and possibly this avoids being taken into account by the great curators of the platform.

Being a social network, we must write precisely about the things we experience every day, make our niche, and build relationships; Building relationships is identifying some need that our readers have, and if I have experience in that, writing about it to share that experience that most likely someone else may lack.

You don't have to be a virtuoso of the pen to stand out, just write from the heart of the problems that we have solved and that have helped us move forward.

Ubongudofot
: What's your real life profession?

🔶Oneray: In Venezuela, I owned my own metalworking company, in which I was dedicated to building lifting and transporting equipment for the animal food processing industry, including installation and subsequent maintenance.

I have lived in Chile for 6 years, and here I learned about the construction of wooden homes, so I do everything related to this field: Civil works, carpentry, electricity, plumbing and welding, and remodeling.

Ubongudofot
: That's a whole lot of profession out there. Respect!

Ubongudofot
: Whose blog do you enjoy reading on Steemit?

🔶Oneray: I enjoy many writers, although I don't always arrive in time to evaluate them. However, there are so many themes that I like about any of them that it would be almost impossible for me to define myself by just one. Know? I have good virtual friends on the platform that I have never met in person, but I have met them through their writings and I have gotten hooked on some of their topics.

I couldn't name just one, and I couldn't name all of them 😃

Ubongudofot
: If you have ability to change something in the world what would that be?

🔶Oneray: All the world needs to live is love. So if I were going to change anything, I would eliminate borders.
There is so much cultural wealth to learn that I am sure, if they were learned, wars and racism would disappear. We would learn new lifestyles that could help us be more empathetic with the environment and the people around us.I think we would finally understand that we are all one.

Ubongudofot
: What is your favourite music?

🔶Oneray: I prefer Lyrical Pop, the style that Andrea Bocelli, Il Divo, Forastella or Il Volo has, however, I also listen to opera, Vivaldi, Mozart, and Beethoven.

Depending on my mood, I also listen to and dance salsa, Dominican merengue, and of course, the music of my country, which is llanera music and the Zuliana bagpipes. The first, I listen to it to write and do karaoke, the second, to have fun and dance.

Ubongudofot
: I love the music! And the instrument is amazing..., here is what my African music looks like..

Ubongudofot
: Which user or users would you like me to feature like this on my show?

🔶Oneray: There are many excellent users on the platform that you could introduce and right now I will name some of them: @evagavilan, @marcybetancourt, @soywilfredg, @aplausos. I know they have a nice story to tell.

Ubongudofot
: As one of the most active user in your country, what do you think could be done to retain more users from your country?

🔶Oneray: Promote through social networks as the first point. I have seen how, for example, on X.com, the same steemians do not visit the tweets of others, or do not even promote their own content. I have started campaigning about this, telling them that we must support each other if we want to push the platform on that network.

It is also important to do Meet Up in each city. I had the wonderful experience of participating (2017-2018) in 3 events where they promoted Steemit and the STEEM blockchain, and they were magical moments where new people came to the platform. Obviously, in those times, each event was financed by some witnesses who are no longer there today.

No one becomes a soldier at their own expense, so I think a project should be created so that these types of events are sponsored and do not come out of our own pockets.

Ubongudofot
: If you were to travel to any place in the world, were would that be and why?

🔶Oneray: Right now I am planning to travel to the United States where I will develop some projects that will allow me to invest in the platform and start again in the areas that I already know. If this doesn't happen this year, I will go to Spain.

Ubongudofot
: Do you have any message for the Steemit team?

🔶Oneray: That the work they are doing is fantastic, trying to support the greatest number of Steemians who create excellent quality content, and that, if there was a way to make the team bigger, there could be more support for many more users.

This would be great for the sustained growth of new curator accounts, and the platform.

Ubongudofot
: What can you say about the Interview Showcase?

🔶Oneray: This is a wonderful initiative. I have taken on the task of doing something like this in Spanish, to publicize authors with a heart of gold, who contribute with their content, new ideas, and experiences that enrich the platform.

feel honored to participate in your Showcase, because it has left me with an indelible experience that will allow me to improve those areas in which I need to do so, and contribute much more to the growth of the community where I am proudly a moderator, to the platform, and each one of us. its members.

I hope that this project lasts for many more years and that you, my dear friend, are blessed by such praiseworthy work on and off the platform. Thank you so much.

Ubongudofot

Nuevamente, gracias.

Hello friend @oneray, was great to have you on the show and you have spelt out so much to learn from you. Steemit is in deed a good place to be if only we understand the nitty gritties and be consistent.

It’s good you came back better and readier to learn and you have achieved a great fit in a short while. Weldone and I look forward to celebrating your dolphin with you soonest.

Thank you sir for another great show this week.

Thank you so much for your nice comment
