Time Slipping Away
The moments slip by slowly as a child, time perception is obscure.
Playtime goes by quickly, but Christmas takes too long to come.
As we grow older, time seems to become more noticeable.
Moments slip by a little faster; minutes become hours,
Hours become days, days become years and suddenly,
We are wondering where the moments have gone.
Monday through Friday seems monotonous,
But the weekend comes and goes quickly,
Before we're ready, it comes to an end.
So do the years of our little ones,
So do these precious moments
Spent holding our babies.
We blink and they are older,
In a second they have grown.
The time goes by faster,
Slipping through fingers,
Until the time
Is gone.
Very cool way of presenting it and matching the essence of the poem. Thanks for sharing... @mylittleblurbs
