This Richmond, Virginia band is signed to Epic Records and have released their new single titled "Checkmate". The self-titled album will be the band's 8th studio album in 5 years and being released on May 8th and in the year 2020 warrants some balls on the part of Lamb of God.

The entire band has put their heart, soul and energy into their new sound while still keeping to the original movement that Lamb of God fans have been accustomed to. With new drummer Art Cruz, the band is taking this album to new heights and Randy Blythe is as angry and insightful as ever before.

To celebrate the new release of their new single "Checkmate", Lamb of God will appear at house of Vans in Chicago on February 14, for FREE! Harm's Way will open the show. RSVP begins on February 6 at noon central-time. First come first served so be sure to visit the venue website at https://www.vans.com/houseofvans.html.

Half way through writing the songs that appear on Lamb of God, the group took the stage and performed with Slayer on their final campaign tour. The new album will consist of 10 songs tightly packed into a beautiful and gorgeous singular album that is sure to win awards. I am a huge Lamb of God fan and I have faith that this band will not let me down. Checkmate is a hard driving song and boy does Randy sound angry AF!

Producer Josh Wilbur of well known bands, such as; Korn, Megadeth, Gojira and Trivium put his magic touch on the album and boy are we in for a treat. Special guests Jamey Jasta of Hatebreed and Chuck Billy of Testament are featured on some of the songs included on Lamb of God.
