Get your Creep On! Super Macro Photography of Spiders 📷
Note: Click to view larger images if these are not creepy enough for ya!
These are all spiders of which I've taken the shots. Some of them jumped on me, some of them ran away, and some spun an web to escape my lens, but all were taken with macro up close and personal and over the last few years.
What a colorful little beast isn't it?
I think this one is a wolf spider, as it could seriously jump.
A massive egg sac on the back of this plump mama spider!
Same time of year, another plump mama spider.
Finding spiders in your house? ya, this guy was, never a good thing. Luckily we've trained our dogs to seek out and munch all spiders, they are a great cleanup crew for spiders and beetles in the house. Luckily we don't have any poisonous ones in our area, so the dogs are safe.
Look at its beedy little black eyes in front of that monstrous egg sac. Gross hey? haha
This one seems to be trying to blend in with its orange color, I think it forgot about the giant egg sac its carrying though. That's not gonna blend in anywhere!
Eaiting the aphids for lunch I guess.
So, I hope you liked the photos and macro shots of these creepy critters.

The second one is a wolf spider, first likely belongs to what we call a rain spider or huntsman family
thanks gavvet, cool, I don't know much about em, but now I know a little more.!
Impressive images. What equipment did you use?
Thanks okkiedot! I use mostly a Samsung NX200 with stock lens and macro attachment for close focus, and some of the macros I also use an Olympus tough tg-2, it has an amazing macro and focuses nicely just a couple mm from any subject. as long as its bright enough, it works really well.
Nice macros. Some beautiful spiders. Actually, the wolf spider supposedly eats brown recluses and hobo's, so is very beneficial in the house. Thanks for sharing.
cool to know that, thanks! I'll have to tell my wife and see how quickly she disagrees though with them being beneficial in the house. haha
Awesome and unique photos!!
thanks daveks, macros always make a pretty unique shot don't they. So much tiny things to photograph you wouldn't normally see!
Downvoted to counteract the upvotes from bots and other whales.
More info here: https://steemit.com/test/@abit/whales-no-up-voting-test
A good experiment you are doing abit, I wish so many people wouldn't think they are entitled to the highest payout they ever see and accept that anyone with SP gets to vote up or down on content (you only get paid at end of a payout term anyway). I like having a vote and seeing organic growth from many votes, not just a whale every now and then, but painful to see so many people complaining. I think it's a good thing you are testing this! Keep on!
