FRIDA KHALO (Escultura)
Hi guys, I tell you a very particular story .. At the art school where I studied, I had to bring a character about which we would have made the sculpture. I walked through the corridors and found an informative billboard , she called me a lot Attention because he did not know much about his story and has some well-marked features .. the teacher said "fall in love with the character" I smiled, shook my head and began to draw .. observed each part of his face in detail as one who looks carefully at the girl who likes it, the hours passed and yet I do not get tired of standing, as when you wait anxious for that special person to get ready to go out together, eleven finished I walk away .. I watch carefully, I sigh and think aloud "i love."
PROCESS
As I was saying, I started drawing the character to better understand the proportions and depths of the face
finished.
Later, we must make a frontal sketch, since we work with volume and depth.
finished.
Once the sketch is finished, a wooden square of 10x10cm is placed on a cross of rods (forget to take a photo)
but if basically that is to use it as a skeleton or structure. the best part would come, prepare the clay! crushing them until they turn into dust (if you like I could do a post teaching how to prepare it)
As you can see in the image, you start to fill in spaces, giving volume and proportion of the human figure.)
Once filled the spaces, I began to detail the face trying to find the closest possible resemblance to the model, taking as reference the sketches.
Finally this is how it ends, I would have liked to develop it to its maximum point as a statue .. but unfortunately the construction materials here in Venezuela are very expensive so it was impossible to finish it .. although I am happy with the result hope be your liking!
live positive!
