Oh they definitely do that, yes. There's also the case where they were caught changing the narrative after apparently being bought off:

I've not been a fan of Snopes going all the way back to the Bush years and the misleading, political motivated, manipulative "fact finding" games that they would play. They're less trustworthy than Wikipedia imo.

I agree, yes - Wikipedia is dodgy and highly manipulated but Snopes has that intention at it's core.
