Greetings friends!!
This is @urmilanath650 from @bangladesh

How are you friends?? Hope all of my dear steemian friends are very well by the grace of Almighty Krishna. I am also well by His mercy. Today I am here to share a beautiful day that I spent on "Pahela baishakh". Though the story I am going to share is about previous month, I will mention the events of that one specific day only. Actually pahela baishakh is a traditional day of our Bengali culture. The day bears importance both culturally and religiously. So I think it would be nice to share the day's story with you....

MORNING
I got up early morning at around 5:00 am; took a shower after cleaning the rooms. Then I went to first floor where there is our kitchen and temple. At first I opened the temple door and awakened our deities from night sleep and enlightened the temple with lamp and cleaned the temple floor. Then I attach the wreaths of neem leaves and flowers to the upper side of the door of the temple and other rooms.

My husband and mother-in-low also woke up early. My husband got ready for worshiping Lord and I sat for making garlands for our deities. I made several garlands with the flowers that were bought previous night. After finishing my preparation my husband offered the garlands to the nice deities. Thay were looking so charming wearing the garlands.

NOON
After that I finished my prayer and started preparation for cooking. I cut vegetables for that day's lunch. At the meantime, my mother-in-low cooked khichdi for breakfast. We ate breakfast before starting cooking for lunch. We cooked mixed vegetables called "pachan", vegetable fries, kashmiri curry, cheese curry and bottle gourd fry. I offered the items with rice and sweets to our Lord at noon. We also offered foods to the deities of our nerby temple and offered our veneration there. Then we took the delicious prasadam altogether.

AFTERNOON
After sleeping for hours, I got ready to visit my parents at our village. My husband also got ready after finishing afternoon's veneration. It was around 5:00 pm when we left home for our village. It took two hours to reach or village. Everyone were very happy seeing us. We ate fruits and sweets there.
