GROW YOUR CAPACITY FOR BEATITUDES AND OTHER SMTs NOW!
A few days ago, I was having some deep thoughts on prosperity and Malachi 3: 10 became a focal scripture. While understudying this very popular verse of the scriptures, a phrase struck my interest and it becomes a basis for this write. Let't take a view at the entire verse:
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it - (NIV)
Bring all the tithes into the storehouse so there will be enough food in my Temple. If you do," says the LORD of Heaven's Armies, "I will open the windows of heaven for you. I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in! Try it! Put me to the test! - (NLT)
According to the scripture, God demanded that His people bring one-tenth of the blessings He bestowed on them that those giving themselves to the service of God's house may have what to eat as such, they won't be distracted from their assignment. Here! God made a serious commitment with those who will in obedience respond to His call.
We must not forget that the God, making this call is the All-Sufficient God. He owns everything made all creation by His hands. In Psalm 24 : 1, the writer acknowledged that the earth is the Lord's and all of its fulness. This implies that God who created all things by the power of His mouth could have called things to the storage of His servant, yet, decided to utilize the obedience of others. We can see here God's deliberateness in trying to bless others who will respond in obedience to His call/demand.
The Assurance
The credential of God as per keeping to His promise is surplus i scripture and personal testimonies. Beyond every doubt, God has proven Himself many times that His words and promises can be relied upon.
Numbers 23:19
"God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent; Has He said, and will He not do it? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?
Deuteronomy 32:4
The Rock! His work is perfect, For all His ways are just; A God of faithfulness and without injustice, Righteous and upright is He.
Romans 4:21
... and being fully assured that what God had promised, He was able also to perform.
2 Timothy 2:13
If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself.
Hebrews 10:23
Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
I decided to share just a few of the very many (uncountable instances ) of unbroken promises of God.
Have you the Capacity of Receiving the Blessing?
... and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it - (NIV)
... I will pour out a blessing so great you won't have enough room to take it in! ... - (NLT)
Having established that the promise giver - God is a promise keeper, my concern in this write to challenge us to check the capacity of our storage. God Himself did say that the blessings to be unleashed is so much that there will be room enough to contain it. This is not a matter to dismiss lightly. We clamour for blessings and take little notice to the fact whether we can actually contain them if they come.
Capacity preparation is not a matter to be treated with levity. Sometimes, we feel we should marry, build a house, advance our education, set-up a business but we do not do a critical search and check to how much of the related responsibility we can bear.
This blog is a call to personal examination and check as to "how much of God's blessing can we contain?". As we are expecting the rise in STEEM prices, expecting the SMTs, do we have enough capacity to contain and manage them?. There is a popular saying that "power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely". I beg to differ that such statement is only applicable when power falls into the wrong and feeble hands.
Few hours ago, our legendary blogger - @Sirknight has made a hope-filled announcement concerning the coming of SMT and particularly "Beatitudes". We are sure they are coming and the days are quite near. One thing we have to consciously do at par with the expectation is the preparation of our storage capacity.
While you brainstorm on what to do, consider the few suggestions below:
- Buy STEEM now. The prices are low enough to allow you purchase as much as possible.
- Enrol and onboard your relatives.
- Power up your SP
- Make as many posts as possible.
- Grow your community
- Delegate to @Steemchurch
- Engage well.
