African Folktales: Oro idi ayo,idi ayo lo ngbe ( whatever is said while playing games stays where we played the game).

Here is another story of three friends that usually meet at a place under the tree to play games, when the game is going on,they talk about their wives,my wife do this,my wife do that bla bla bla...... They'll curse and yell,so one day all of them decided to do the needful, since our wives are up to no good, we shall send them packing when we get home today.

So they departed, the first one got home and told his wife, see, just go inside and pack your loads. I'm tired of you and all your antics, you are up to no good, you're this and that,he ranted and despite all begging he sent her away.

Feeling fulfilled and satisfied, he went out to see how his other friends carried out their own assignment, on getting to the second man's house he saw the man and his wife on the dinning table, eating and feeding themselves, he was so angry that the man didn't carry out that assignment, so he stormed out in anger without listening to any explanation, he wanted to report the idiot to the third friend.

On getting to the third friend's house he was more disappointed. His friend's wife was lying down on a couch with her head on her husband's lap, they were talking and laughing and intermittently garnish it with kisses,he stood there stupefied and looking at them, then he called his friend aside and asked "why didn't you carry out our assignment'' the friend sarcastically asked " which assignment'' didn't we all agreed to send our wives away?

The friend bursted into laughter and said"but that same way we yabbed ourselves, we called ourselves unprintable names,we insulted ourselves, why didn't you take it personal? He answered, "I can't take it personal because it's just game's talk now'' OK how is that different from this so called assignment? Was it not also said while playing games? My friend whatever we said while we are playing games stays where we played the games. Oro idi ayo,idi ayo lo ngbe.

Friends, let me tell you, this era of social media is full of many expertrates, many political analysts, many marriage counselors, they will tell you they can't take shit from their spouses, they'll say leave him or her on slightest provocation. Can I tell you something? They are taking worse shit than you're taking, they are going through worse experience than you're going through, but they will come on social media forming macho.

They will tell you make believe stories that are too good to be true. A popular saying in America says "if it's too good to be true, it ain't true". The will screenshot, photoshoot, Photoshop and do everything in between all in efforts to show fake lives, some that have never seen airport before will tell you how they do it in America, it's all lies, believe me you don't need them.

My friend," oro idi ayo,idi ayo lo ngbe o''.
You better live your life according to your conscience and your tenets, let everything you see on social media stay with social media.

Please don't get me wrong, there are potent words on social media that could add meaning to your life, there are vital information that may change your destiny, there are friends that could just be better than brothers and sisters for you. Yes, you can take advantage of all that but don't let anyone or anything take advantage of you. "Whatever we say while playing games stays where we played the game. Take the best from there and leave trash for trash collectors.

Yes, there are indeed friends that could be said to be better than biological brothers and sisters, which summarized the saying, "we all were molded from one pool of blood".

Lovely post.

I like it. Games are fun and can be practice for reality, a place in which one can risk without risking. Reality has consequences. Therefore it is vital to know the difference in anything we do.

Then again, if the friend was confident in his choice of removing the wife, he shouldn't need the other guys to validate his choice.

yes you are right bro, thanks for reading
