Need to track your crypto investments? Try Cryptocompare!
Since I decided to invest in cryptocurrency I started looking for a tool in order to setup and view my own portfolio so I could keep track of my investments.
Pretty quickly I stumbled upon Blockfolio and it looked good. I wanted to try it because it has an app for iOS. But when setting it up I found that it wasn't all too easy to use. There were a few things about the user interface and experience that bothered me. I decided to delete it and look for another tool.
Did some more research, looked at one or two other options but they weren't what I was looking for. Then I came across Cryptocompare and I've been using it ever since.
It's a pretty well built up website. They have a bunch of list, reviews of wallets and guides for example all with good information but it was the portfolio feature that drew me there.
It looks like this:
It's easy to set up, easy to understand, works excellent in Safari on iOS (no need for an app) and not only does it give you an overview of all your cryptos, it also has a breakdown per crypto further along your dashboard. There's the possibility to create several sets of portfolio's as well and mark them private or public if you want. There's risk analysis, advanced charts and they've recently implemented an accounting feature. I haven't used that myself yet though.
The portfolio feature is still in beta and therefore it's currently free to use. I hope it will remain free when they mark it 1.0 though. I don't know if I am willing to pay for the portfolio only, but we'll see what happens. For now I'm very happy with it.
I think the company is doing quite well because today they tweeted this:
In a singly month they've added over 90 thousand new users, that's amazing. It think a very large part signed up because of the portfolio feature because you need an account to set it up so that really accounts to that feature and ease of use. Hope this helps if you're looking for a tool to keep track of your own portfolio!
