Your Light Has Come!

Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you. Isaiah 60:1

The Lord doesn't say in this Scripture that the light has come; He says your light has come. If we look at Malachi 4:2;

But to you who fear My name, The Sun of Righteousness shall arise, With healing in His wings; And you shall go out; And grow fat like stall-fed calves.

What a beautiful blessing from God Almighty. Light cannot shine in light. There has to be darkness. If you take a match and strike it in broad daylight you can hardly see it. But take a match and strike it in the pitch blackness of evening and you can see it from a very far distance.

Isaiah 60:2 says that darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people. This is our time to shine by faith for Jesus Christ.

He says, My light has come for you.

He tells us that healing has come through Him, and that we shall go forth and grow up as calves of the stall. I read with interest that in Scotland some years ago farmers used to put the dairy cows young cows in stalls for the winter because they would not have survived out in the open.

The snow was sometimes a meter deep. When the first spring came and the snow melted, the first shoots of green grass came through and the sun started to shine, we would let these calves out of the stalls.

They had been boxed up in there for six months. They would come out from there and absolutely beserk, charging around the paddock with their tails stuck straight up in the air. It was a most awesome and beautiful sight to see.

I believe that is what God is saying. We need to get out there and tell people that our light, our Jesus, has come. He is living within us and, no matter how dark it might get in this world, we shall shine by faith.
