'Bonaparte'

Napoleon's wax figure. This is actually how the guy looked. Sad dreams of great conqueror's glory. Never liked wars, 'killing for peace', 'glorious campaigns', nor the hypocrisy behind them. Bah...

Enjoy your day! :)

I've always wondered why Napoleon Bonaparte "hid" his hand on his shirt? Don't you? I think it's one of the most related poses to this character! Likewise, the typical hat and size (in these images you can't perceive this) are other things that make him unmistakable. I don't like wars either! It's a pity that we live in societies that promote confrontations and even the language of war. Nice Tuesday, @velimir.

Excellent that wax figure of Napoleon Bonaparte, and very good photographic record on your part, @velimir. Bonaparte was perhaps one of the first leaders of political modernity, I would say, after Danton and Robespierre. He was quite a character: his generally militaristic and authoritarian behaviour, his astute and manipulative psychology, his pose and attire (which you can see in your photos)... Curious that he has written a short novel of a romantic nature: Clisson and Eugénie, it is said to have a certain autobiographical air (dated 1795, although made known in the twentieth century).
