Attending SABAH SHARKS AND RAYS FORUM 2018

The event
I'm here at Shangri-La's Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, attending an amazing forum on 'Exploring Synergies Between Fisheries, Conservation and Tourism'.
There are about seventy species of sharks and eighty species of Stingrays in Malaysia. As at April 2018, tourism industry recorded about 1.3 Million tourists visited Sabah which generated about 2 Billion income. Our ocean is our main attraction in tourism in Sabah. Tourists from China, Asean countries, Europe, Korea and America came to Sabah for our ocean to do scuba diving, climb the Mount Kinabalu and taste our glorious seafood.
That's some of the introduction I can summarize for the first morning sessions. Lots of experts in their field of studies, NGO experts and professors attended this forum. The first speaker talks about species of fishes in Sabah. All the datas, researches and information were presented accordingly. Wow, this is dead serious talk...funny it keep reminds me of how we Steemians call by species of fish..LOL.
Anyway, its good to go out from our comfort zone, the office, sometime. Its good to meet people to do some social networking and to gain general knowledge.
