He should have never changed his mind. But then he should have never married as well:
”Torres suggested she would use an ex-boyfriend’s sperm instead.”
Controlling behaviour (aka black mail) red flag right there.

When will men wake up?
Probably never, because the truth is so painful, that doing anything to avoid it, even blowing your brains out, seem preferable.
TFM likes to say, "take away women's rights"
However, that doesn't solve the problem.
The problem men need to come together and agree on is:
How are we going to support women?
We obviously don't want to let women just die, as that would mean the end of the species. So, men, as always, have to support women.
We had a great thing going when it was one woman for each man, but women have decided they want to go back to being a part of a harem.
So, the 80% of men who going to be providing the labor to support women, and get nothing for it, what shall be our new motto?
Long ago, in tribal days, when a boy reached about the age of five, the men would kidnap the child, and start to raise him into a man. We will have to do something like this again. However, all children need males in their lives from about 5 to about 13. If they do not have a "father" they will grow up with father abandonment issues.
Thus, we will have to impose fathers into childrens' lives. Because women want to keep men away, even at the detriment of all children.
But, after that, what should we do about the women?
My thoughts are to make them tiny houses, all the exact same size and give each of them the exact same groceries each week (whole vegetables and meat. Nothing processed)
You are right. But then I don't think all men need to wake up anyway. 10% will be enough to create a shortage.
Only that won't work. Income wise i'm in the top 5% of my country. But I can't afford 5 sister wives. There are only a very few men who have that money.
Of course money is not the only requirement for a modern women. The pool for harems is very small.
But then, by the time women wake up to the fact that they can't all have an alpha man quite a few of the betas might have gone there own way.

But, that isn't an issue, as all woman are being supported by all the men.

The notion of one man supporting "his" woman are over.
It is already all the men, supporting all the women, and most not getting anything for it.
Now, we just have to realize that, and then choose a better, more equal way of supporting them.
