Haven completed my Achievement 1 post; it is with great joy to be able to come back for my Achievement 2 post. So without any more delays, I will lunch into the content of my post which is BASIC SECURITY ON STEEM

Questions Outline

• Have you retrieved all your keys on steemit?
• Do you know each of these key functions and restrictions?
• How do you plan to keep your master password?
• Do you know how to transfer your steem token to another steem user account?
• Do you know how to power up your STEEM?

# QUESTION 1:

HAVE YOU RETRIEVED ALL YOUR KEYS ON STEEMIT?

As we all know, logging onto an account requires a password.
When I finished the sign-up process, I obtained all of my keys and made sure to put the copies somewhere safe because the safety of my steemit account is entirely dependent on the safety of my keys.

QUESTION 2:

DO YOU KNOW EACH OF THESE KEY FUNCTIONS AND RESTRICTIONS?

Yes, I've read post regarding these keys and am now well-versed in their capabilities and limitations.

POSTING KEY

The posting key is used to login and follow or mute other accounts or pages, as well as to comment on posts, send messages, edit posts, vote on posts and resteeming them.

ACTIVE KEY

The active key is used to conduct additional tasks such as witness voting, fund transfers from your wallet, and power up and down.

MEMO KEY

The function of the Private Memo Key is to encrypt private messages sent through the blockchain.

OWNER KEY

It's used to make modifications to any account key, including the owner key. It should be kept in a variety of secure locations, both online and offline, to be used if one's account is breached for any reason.

MASTER KEY

The master key takes precedence over all other keys. It's used to update or generate all other keys, including the Owner key, but it's also needed if you want to recover your account. The safeguarding of the master key is the most crucial aspect of steem account security.

QUESTION 3:

HOW DO YOU PLAN TO KEEP YOUR MASTER PASSWORD?

Haven read about the significance of master keys and their utility. It is the most sensitive password key because it is possible to change one's password by logging in with the Master password. This makes it the most important and sensitive key among all of the others because if someone gains access to it, my account can be hacked and my tokens withdrawn without my permission. With this information in mind I made sure to keep my password as highlighted below.

• Online: I keep a copy of my keys in my email account for convenience and security.
• Offline: I also aim to preserve a paper copy in my personal file, handwritten (the master key most especially)

QUESTION 4:

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO TRANSFER YOUR STEEM TOKEN TO ANOTHER STEEM USER ACCOUNT?

Yes; to transfer Steem tokens the follow steps should be followed
Click the down arrow next to the quantity of tokens in one's wallet area, then transfer in the dropdown box.

Click next after entering the receiver's name, the quantity of tokens, and optionally a memo.

QUESTION 5:

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO POWER UP YOUR STEEM?

Yes, I understand how to increase my steem's power. To Power Up, select the option of Power Up from the dropdown box next to the steem number

enter the amount of steem, and click Power Up.

With this i can say that i have grasped the basic securities on steemit and therefore i have made a resolution to keep my keys with utmost privacy.
