Greetings from these ends, on seeing this engagement my heart feels with excitement because I will share and also read about others' stories. I hope favors will locate all of us.@vickyson.

How many languages do you speak? Which of them are your native languages and which ones have you studied?

In Nigeria, there are many languages in different communities I speak English Hausa, and Eggon, Eggon is my native vocabulary and is the majority language spoken here in Nasarawa state, I grow up seeing both of my parents speaking Eggon I also learned from them as time goes on

I have studied the English language in school starting from the primary source even due the teacher has to speak both languages in class before the students can understand, at some point I couldn't answer questions in class because I told it will not be correct and others will laugh at me,

so I put it to practice by listening to the news and watching movies, putting close attention to what they are saying, by interacting with some school friends who speak the English language better than me, today I can speak the English language nicely,

we use Hausa to communicate just like Eggon mostly in the North so I speak Hausa fluently too when corps are sent to our communities for their service I was picked to translate because I can understand English very well,

Methods I used to learn other languages

In the community where different ethnic groups live and go about daily activities, there are words people use often and one gets familiar with them, through which one learns from the little ones speaking in day-to-day activities and then, asks questions about the one spoken but not understood so as to know them in case of next time.

As a businesswoman, I go to the marketplace every day to buy from others and sell, In some village markets if I went there I have to find a translator before I can obtain goods, so I pick up the challenge to learn their language by going there every time to interacting with them, through friends I understand their language.

In addition to the languages I already know how to speak,

I want to also learn how to speak French and Yoruba,

I always wish to travel out of the country someday, so that I can experience the beautiful nature that I am seeing in the movie, if possible to obtain work there because I had that there are many jobs opportunities over there and the pay is nice, the Walther is beautiful and for me to communicate there, I have to understand their language, French is one of the common languages spoke in overseas.

Yuroba is a language spoken mostly in the southern part of Nigeria by the Yuroba people when I travel to Lagos, everyone is speaking Yuroba, and I wonder if all of them are Yuroba then I understand that they are a combination of different types of people who have learned the Yuroba language, to aid their businesses

so I start to learn also, Lagos state is one of the most populated places in Nigeria it has companies industry, and star hotels many youths travel there to find greener pastures. Aside from their different state and locality Yuroba language is spoken everywhere you go.

The most difficult thing about learning other languages

The most difficult aspect of learning other languages is how to twist your tongue and vocals to bring out the pronunciation as expected. Some individuals that have problems with listening can find it difficult to learn about other languages,

just like a child that is learning how to speak, to him or her every pronunciation is hard but as time goes on they learn about the language all, learning others language is hard because your tongue is already used to your native and finding a new tone will be hard to adapt especially if you are above 40 years because our mother tongue has already taken over but as they say learning never end,

you meant not having all the time to learn as you wish because there are ordered activities that captured your time so it will be difficult to learn about the language.

Why it is important to master several other languages

It is very important to learn other languages because, life is full of up and down, so you might find yourself in a place where they don't speak or understand your language and you still have to communicate,

For job opportunities such as an interpreter, and teaching of languages in schools, my friend that has studied French at the university now works at the airport as an interpreter, some of them save as ambassadors others in the French company here in Nigeria and they are earning well, learning others languages is super important, I can interact fluently anywhere I go if I studied French, without a doubt of ex-communication.

Some day destiny can take me to Amigos, but that ticket can be given to someone else because of the language barrier, learning other languages is important.

Thank you for the opportunity to share with you, my native language reading through others' posts makes me to understand that is important to learn multiple languages.

I will love to invite

Hola amigo.

Thank you for stopping by am grateful.

It's true its important to learn other languages because we don't know where we might find ourselves tomorrow.
We Nigerians are exposed to many languages, over 500 so we just have to choose the ones we like and learn. Yoruba is a very nice language, I've been opportune to live in Lagos and learn some of the language and it's not very difficult if we pay good attention an find out the meaning of what they say.

Best wishes for your entry ti this contest!

Thank you dear friend, Yuroba is very easy to understand that is why many people know how to speak the language. Am grateful for your best wishes.
