Kamotecue
Hiya Everyone! Tori here! Today, I'll be showcasing a Filipino afternoon snack. Kamotecue is a sweet-potato dish made up of fried kamote (a cultivar of sweet potato) that is cooked in sugar. It is a highly-nutritious snack since is considered as an antioxidant, antimutagenic, antibacterial, and antidiabetic due to its nutrients. Kamotecue are usually sold in sidewalks whenever you come home from school or work. It is sweet but dry so you will have to bring a complementary drink (usually a soda). It is comforting to eat this since it really reminds you of your childhood memories.
