The road to Trout Lake

in #travel7 years ago

Hello Steemit!

The third day of vacation, I and my friends @ianboil decided to ride bicycles to Trout Lake, near the village of Chemal.

In the morning we woke up, had breakfast, the grass on the territory of our recreation center dried and I decided with Andrey instead of morning exercises to play volleyball through a tight net. I have not played for a long time, so after a half an hour of active play, I got wet, went to the shower and began to collect a backpack for the trip. We had 4 bicycles to choose from, not in very good technical condition, one of them had a chain, but we repaired it and thus whipped out a small discount. Before leaving, I decided to lie down in a hammock, it's very convenient and plus that it hangs in the shade, the beauty :)

First we went to the tire store, pumped the wheels on the bikes for comfort, then went to the store to take a snack. To stretch our legs, we first decided to climb to Patmos, from down there goes a very long asphalted descent, along which we wanted to race on our iron horses. A little rain started, and the ascent to Patmos was quite steep and the road was covered with sand, earth and pebbles mixed, so they climbed on foot with bicycles in their hands. While overcoming the ascent, everyone was pissed off like cocks and tired. At last we got up to smoke and started dispersal on a smooth asphalt slope.

It was worth the effort! Rolling at a furious speed, the wind blew in the eyes. We were lucky - there were very few cars on the road, this made it possible to accelerate to the maximum. On the bikes we had the action cameras, but since this is the first such experience, the video turned out to be of poor quality, everything was shaking and blurred, so I did not show it to you. As they say - the first pancake is lumpy.

Having received a lot of emotions, we had a long way to go to Trout Lake. Long and difficult, because almost the whole road was a little uphill and only in uncharted places we rested on the slopes or just on a flat road where you could not turn the pedals, the inertia of the bikes themselves rolled.

After driving about five kilometers we parked near the Chemal River to recharge the carbohydrates and build up the strength for the future.

The river with a fairly fast current, along the shore lies a huge amount of stones, as well as on the bottom of the transparent reservoir. The weather was sunny, but not very hot, comfortable. And behind us we could see dark clouds, I took a picture of Andrey in the background of a wonderful landscape, and we went on.

Along the way, we stayed a lot, since the girl Zhenya was traveling with us, she was given a harder road than us, but also the reason for the stops were photos. Here are stunning views, I hope the pictures were able to convey the beauty of the mountain nature.

Asphalt was a little wet from the occasional drizzling rain, we drove slowly, admiring the beauties.

On the way we met a lot of cows, one of them even made us a funny grimace :) I'm joking, she just waved away flies.

The further we went forward, the more picturesque the environment became. After another steep climb, we were awaited by a classy descent, a small section of the road, where you could effortlessly accelerate and rest. This feeling can not be conveyed, despite the fatigue, the mood was high, the smile did not go away from the face. There are practically no cars, behind the backpacks there is freedom ahead and clean air ... I want to return there again ... it's very cool.

Having made an easy journey we reached the lake. We parked our vehicles and went on an excursion.

Before entering the lake, he was given a master class by a woodcarver, a very talented guy.

All these figures of wood he sawed with his own hand, certainly talent.

There were three small ponds, they differ in the size of the fish inhabiting them. In the first cub, the appearance is about 10-15 cm in length, in the second the fish are twice as large as the inhabitants of the first, and in the third, larger specimens.

A small cobblestone bridge is laid across one lake.

Trout literally swarming in the pond, we were given jars of food at the entrance to feed the pets. The predator grabbed the feed very actively, creating splashes on the water.

Between the lakes there are beautiful flower beds laid out from the stones. It is very quiet and peaceful, despite a fairly large number of visitors.

On request, you can buy fresh smoked trout, and if you come in April, then there is an opportunity to fish on a fishing pole, but it is quite expensive. The fish hibernate without leaving the pond under the ice, the owner feeds the trout through the ice-hole.

Previously, I had never seen live trout, and I can say with confidence that the trip was a success, I liked it here.

It was time to return, in parting Andrew shared a secret with the local (what a secret, no one knows :)) and we set off.

The road back turned out to be much shorter than here, as the way back we rolled down the hill, our feet enjoyed the rest. Along the way, I made a panoramic shot of the area.

A little later we stopped at a cafe, where we ate delicious, large fresh manti. As we drove up to the base, we realized that we had returned in time, since the sky had completely tightened the clouds and began to rain softly.

Returning to the base after a long, busy day, we settled in a gazebo, cooked dinner and started playing cards until the night before we went to the rooms to rest.

So we spent our third day of a joint trip. Thank you for your attention and until we meet again.
