A very interesting fuzzy caterpillar.
Not sure what it turns into!

Robin3 (2).JPG

This robin was hopping around my yard searching for breakfast.
I'm sorry the quality is not too good!
I took the photos through my picture window in my kitchen!

And for a bonus, this last photo is from The Dallas Arboretum taken in February.

Squirrel also busy eating!

We have squirrels and rabbits in our yards all of the time.
The rabbits mainly stay in the front yard away from my dog and eat some of my flowers and the clover.
I'm not too happy about them eating the flowers!

The squirrels eat my birdseed in the open feeder, but I have another feeder that is squirrel proof.
Maybe next week I'll post photos of the squirrel and rabbit thieves! :)

Have a Blessed Day!

Those darn critters do so much damage. I don't have many rabbits around, thanks to the resident fox, but the deer eat plenty! And the squirrels, and the raccoons! They are just plain naughty!

I've heard about deer eating people’s plants and flowers. I keep moving flowers to the backyard if they are planted in pots - of course many flowers are planted in my beds and I just try to remember not to plant them in the front yard the next year!

I misread that comment at first and wondered how deer could eat people.

Exactly, but love to have them around. Entertaining and pesty and needed.

Good models, too!

As long as it's not the fuzzy white and black furry caterpillar that looks rather cuddly- the Hickory Tussock caterpillar is starting to move into Wisconsin and we are being warned not to touch them because they cause a reaction similar to poison ivy!

We are in Wisconsin. And you?

Will keep an eye out for the not so riendly Hickory Tussock and pass the word.

South Central, near Janesville.

Right here in Oshkosh!

Very coincidental.

Happy to know another Wisconsin Steemian!

What beautiful images, @violetmet. Around here, where I live, nature has also begun to put on its best clothes. With each dawn God is telling us that He continues to believe in this planet and in us. God bless your garden. A hug

Thank you and sending you a hug back!

Those pesky little varmints ... but they know cute. Beautiful nature shots, Violet. I wrote a poem that you had a great deal to do in the inspiration of. Stop by if you get the chance:)

Thank you, I read the poem and resteemed it!

Your yard is alive @violetmed. I used to be fed up with rabbits and squirrels until we had a raccoon family living on our roof in Chicago. That was the worst.

Oh my gosh! Well, we also have these horrid things called roof rats that live in the trees and yards in this part of Texas. We have to be careful not to leave out dog food or the rats will eat it. We put rat poison out in our garage, so they won't sneak into our house. We also had raccoons steal our eggs, raw meat and chocolate bars out of our ice chest when we went camping with our kids about 20 years ago. We learned our lesson and always locked our ice chest in our van every night after that!

Taken from your window looking out! Amazing how honed your photography skills are. Just beautiful. At first glance, the lantana is so perfect in colors, I did not see what it was, usually a pretty small flower, it popped so vividly it didn’t register with me. 🐓🐓

It is a balance of cute and irritating. Lol

Each of these pictures are one of a kind. Congrats on great shots.

This spring we had to make a decision to have two trees removed from our yard. I was crushed for the birds and squirrels and rabbits who made their homes there or around them.

I left some brushy stuff and weeds for them. It doesn't look great but I feel better. Silly, I know.

Oh yes, I would hate to have to take any tree or trees taken out of my yard!

Beautiful garden and God's creatures having a good time in your garden.

I guess the rabbits are afraid of your dog

Yes, they are and they should be! She has chased some baby ones and caught them! She just wants to catch them and play with them like they are a toy she can throw around. They are tramatized and die! :(
She is not interested in eating them!

Lol, so funny of your dog. To play with them as toys. I don't blame the rabbits for taking preventive measures

Your day in the yard is just like mine..... isn't it fabulous. I love your critters.

Thank you!

Wow you sure had a busy yard that day! Its beautiful! I know it’s hard for them to resist those gorgeous flowers.

Beautiful photos! Looks like a lovely day!
