SLC-S21W6: How to Increase Organic Reach and Sell Products Organically
Hey Steemian friends!
Over the past few weeks, we’ve covered many important lessons to get our Amazon Affiliate business in shape. However, none of our previous attempts would not truly pay off until people start noticing, trusting, and clicking our links. That’s where today topic comes into play.
Pinterest is like a visual search engine. People go there looking for ideas, inspiration, and products they might want to buy. If you share good-looking “pins” (images or short videos) with helpful tips or inspiring content, you can catch the eye of someone who is already interested in that type of item. For example, if you’re an Amazon affiliate who focuses on kitchen gadgets, sharing a pin with a pretty image of a new blender, plus a short description of why it’s great, can lead people right to your affiliate link.
Steps to Create a Pinterest Pin and Promote an Amazon Product:
- Step 01:
Set Up Pinterest Account: Sign up at Pinterest.com using your email, or use Google/Facebook to create an account. Since I already have account through my email, I'm using "Continue as Viraj" option to log in.
- Step 02:
Edit profile:I chose a profile name and photo that matches my affiliated account because that will make my visitors to remember my profile easily. Then I added little description to attract my niche market and added blog link to the website section.
- Step 03:
Switch to a Business Account: While I was researching I found out that if we convert our account into a Business Account it can give access to analytics. This will be useful for us to see how many people view and click our pins.
First, go to settings and click "Convert to Business".
Next window will show you the benefit of a business account. Click "Upgrade" to proceed.
Here we have to describe my business, so I selected consumer goods because my tech gadgets might fall into the electronic category most of the time.
Once I describe my business I had to confirm the business name, country and the link of the site.
Once everything filled click "Done" to get access to business account.

Facebook with its largest user base comes with people of all ages and interests. Hence in this social media era having a FB page is kind of a must. A lot of people share helpful tips, stories, and product reviews. If people see trusted source or recommendation they’re more likely to click that post and even visit our affiliate links.
Steps to Create a Facebook Post (Video) and Include Affiliate Link:
- Step 01:
Create a Facebook Page: Log into Facebook and click on “Pages” in the left menu.
In the next window we can choose a name that reflects our niche. I chose my blog name "Top Gear Guru" and added category and the description about the page.
Next I gave some life to the page with colorful cover page and profile picture.
- Step 02:
Make a Post : Then the usual stuff, anyone who doesn't know how to post on FB, click the box that says “What's on your mind?”
- Step 03:
Create a Video Post: I have created a video using capcut. To get attention towards the video we share write something helpful or interesting about the product you’re promoting and paste your Amazon affiliate link at the end.
Then when you click "Video option" we can give a title for the video and add tags so that users can find our post easily.

📱 YouTube |

Video content can really bring a product to life. With YouTube, people can see how you use the item, hear your recommendation, and feel more connected. This helps build trust. If you show them how a product works, answer their questions, and give honest feedback, they’re more likely to trust your word and click on affiliate link. This is usually the way I choose product and probably the best way.
Steps to Upload a Video and Add Your Affiliate Link in the YT Description:
- Step 01:
Upload the Video: First we have to sign into YouTube with our Google account. Then on the right corner click on profile and select “View your Channel.” Next click the “Create” button to proceed YouTube studio. The I uploaded the video.
- Step 02:
Include Affiliate Link in the Description: In the description box, we can add catchy title and summary. Below the summary I tried to include the Amazon affiliate link but first I had to verify my account first.
However, I learned that verifying my account is not possible because YouTube currently has an issue of verifying Sri Lankan phone numbers. So I had no other choice but to remove the link and add "Want to get one of these cool LED Glasses? The link is on the first comment." this instead.
Then in the next window I had to confirm the visibility type, which I selected "Public". Then I clicked "Publish" to make it everyone watchable.
In the published video I made a comment with my affiliated link. This is the link to the video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/Hv-VITMjYOo
People often look to Instagram for product ideas and inspiration, they are all about visuals and quick, small sized content. If we post appealing images or short videos (Reels) demonstrating a product, we can grab users attention fast. Plus, Instagram users often trust recommendations from influencers and followers.
Steps to post a Video and Include the Affiliate Link in the Bio
- Step 01:
Sign up to Instagram Account: As all other platform first thing is to sign up. If you don't have a account you can choose a username that relates to your niche and create an account. Then to post you can click "Create" with the plus mark to proceed.
- Step 02:
Post a Video: I uploaded my video and wrote a short caption about the product. Then I added my affiliate link but Instagram doesn’t let us to add clickable links directly in captions. Instead we have to put our affiliate link in the profile bio. So I add "Find the link in the Bio" so that if people wish to find my product they can find clickable link.
- Step 03:
Editing profile bio: First I went to my profile, tap “Edit Profile,” and paste the affiliate link in the “Bio” field and then "Submit".

📱 Feedback about the course and instructor |
---|
The course was nicely structured and I learned a lot from it. It covered so many important aspect about affiliated marketing. Sri Lanka had a lot of restriction so overall it was a challenge for me. In the end, I'm really happy I learned something new and now I have a skill to make some extra money through it. Hence I give 5/5 Stars (⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐) to the course.
About the instructor, I'm sure he is very skillful. The video tutorials were very helpful for the things I couldn't understand and it was a new concept. I haven't seen anyone doing that so I believe @hamzayousafzai wanted everyone to be successful on this course and that was an extra effort by him. I did all the 06 lessons from him and I want to thank him for sharing his knowledge.
Thank you.
Peace to all 🙏
