The Diary Game | 26th of March 2025 | ♥ Attended a beautiful beachside wedding ♥

It's a special day—it's one of our cousin brother's wedding at the most beautiful beachfront venue—Hikka Tranz. Since the wedding was in Haikkaduwa, we traveled to my parents' home in Colombo the day before. This time, we decided to leave Vihan at home. Weddings are exhausting for him, as he is already tired from travelling long distances. We knew he would be in safe hands until we returned.

The morning started early for me. I had many things to get done before I left home. I woke up and prepared Vihan's meals for the day, ensuring he had everything he needed and that my mom could look after him without any hassle. Once that was taken care of, I started getting ready for the wedding. I was pretty excited for the day ahead.

My outfit for the day was a sari. I did my hair and makeup and then my mother helped to drape the sari perfectly. By 7:30 am, my husband and I were all set to leave.

Just as we were about to go, Vihan woke up earlier than usual. Seeing his little face so early in the morning made it even harder to leave him at home. I cuddled him for a while and fed him, my heart felt heavy as we said goodbye, but I reassured myself that he is in loving hands and will be happier and comfortable spending time with his grandparents.

It was approximately 100 km via the southern expressway, which was about 1 hr and 30-minute ride. We were right on time for the Poruwa ceremony. The picturesque view of the beautiful beach and the lovely flower decorations made the poruwa ceremony a truly unique moment with all the family members gathered around.

Once the poruwa ceremony was over, we were invited to the banquet hall. The flower decorations were incredibly beautiful they took everyone's attention. We enjoyed the entrance of the lovely couple and had a lovely time meeting friends and family.

We also got the opportunity to enjoy good food and music from one of my favourite bands. We had a great time dancing and enjoying their music.

The wedding was truly joyful, and we were glad that we could make it with our busy schedules. After wishing the couple and capturing a family picture, we left around 3:00 pm to head back home. On the way, we stopped at CIB. Vihan had been asking for a blue toy car, so we purchased one from CIB. Seeing his excitement when we gave it to him filled me with relief and happiness.

I was completely exhausted after the long day. After a refreshing wash, I was ready for bed. I had a wonderful time with hubby and his relatives.
