Gold of Byzantium

in #steemsilvergold7 years ago

The Byzantine Empire was a very strong and rich state. By this, the Byzantines could afford to coin coins of gold and silver. Each emperor of Byzantium was depicted on a new gold coin. On the other side of the coin depicted a Christian saint or angels. Byzantine gold coins are sometimes called coins with angels. Finding such a gold coin is a great success. But sometimes a treasure hunter can find gold coins. One day my friend was so lucky and he found this kind of coin. This coin dates back to the 4 th century AD it is more than 1500 years old, 15 centuries it lay in the ground until it was found by a man with a metal detector.

Спасибо, что показываете! А то в музеях много чего есть, но народу почти ничего не показывают.
