Helping the people affected by the Mexico City earthquake
With the recent 7.1 earthquake which caused extensive damage in Mexico City and its surrounding areas leaving hundreds dead, thousands of people displaced, and billions of dollars in damage, VIVA, @TradeQwik, Muncapital, and NAOME are coordinating efforts to raise critical funds for the people and infrastructure affected by this devastating earthquake.

Francisco Santillán, a C-Level executive for VIVA Holdings Mexico Operations and NAOME, will be visiting Mexico City to see the devastation first hand, and develop the best plan of action to distribute the collected funds. Details will be posted on our website and social media outlets.
Sending funds is more important than sending "stuff"
- First, an assessment is needed to prioritize what's needed (water, food, shelter)
- It is more efficient and cost-effective to buy locally than to ship items especially if infrastructure is compromised
- Buying locally helps the local economy
- Sending unneeded items poses a challenge on where to store it in disaster areas

For further information or to make a fiat donation, please contact Executive Assistant Enrique Trevino in TQ's Discord channel.
For those that send funds from the USA using fiat, I recommend checking with your company to see if they are willing to match your donation. It's tax deductible for them, and it helps you get some extra bang for your buck when you send the money.
There have been so many natural disasters recently. The Mexico earthquakes, the hurricane in Houston, and then 2 hurricanes that hit Puerto Rico. No one's really catching a break :\
I was displaced for nearly 2 weeks with Hurricane Irma but thankfully back to normal. Don't forget the fires that hit the west coast! There is so much devastation and need it's almost too difficult to know where to start.
Oh man, I'm sorry to hear that! I'm glad things are back to normal now, and hopefully they'll stay that way. And you're right, the fires escaped my mind.

I contributed just 0.5sbd That's just little but i hope it helps
Will be sending a donation when my post closes. Current potential Payout is less than $20 so I will be matching the entire this as a contribution.
