Detective CryptoLemon is investigating #ChainLink $Link and the latest Zeus Short-seller report !
Dear HODLers and Hivers,
First of all, I would like all of us to have a calm discussion about this report and ChainLink. I do not have any interest in insulting each other over the investment case.
At the moment I am just STARTING the process and therefore do not have a clear opinion.
If I am willing to go through all of this it is to help each and everyone of you to understand how shortsellers work and how to spot a Scam.
I have spotted Bitconnect a long time before it went bankrupt; I actually wrote about it on Steemit (112$ post and 120 commentds damn these were good times !).
You can find my old article and investigation here
I also spotted the same thing for Wirecard (called it in 2017). Today I am calling HEX a very "opaque crypto and potentially a scam".
Thanks to a post from @xyzashu, I have started looking at #Chainlink and its $LINK token.
A short-seller has published quite a thorough report on July, 16th. You can find the full report here or wait for my thoughts later tomorrow.
I have read most of it and started looking if Sergey Nazarov or #ChainLink replied to the points raised in this report.
Apparently they did not put a PR statement or a video going over them as they claim these are "Bullshit" and that short-sellers are taking advantage of the FUD.
Concerning the second part they are right, but this is a basic thing with any short-sellers report. Of course people DO NOT WRITE these for free. They collect information and defend their investment thesis and hope other people will do their own research based on some of their findings and act on it (i.e sell) therefore giving them a nice profit.
What is more surprising is the way ChainLink reacted (basically doing nothing for the past week) and using digital forensic to find the writer.
This behavior of retaliation reminds me A LOT of Wirecard.
Wirecard did not reply to allegations for a while and just said basically: It is bullshit, let's prosecute the FT and other short-sellers for lying.
Well... we know how it turned out...
As I am just starting and read most of the report I tried to reach out on Twitter to see if there were some answers given by Sergey or the team.
I was just met with some aggressiveness and already some lies from $LINK fans. This is not starting well...
This first post is just an introduction and you will have the complete investigation tomorrow probably.

HI @vlemon
I think this is going to take a while. I've heard a lot about linkcoin these days... but, I haven't researched, so I'll keep an eye out for the next post. I'm sure it'll be quite interesting.
You'll probably get a lot of supporters of that project willing to offend with everything.
Just for attacking.
Hello friend, we will be attentive to see where this ends. For now I am not very clear what it is about.
Good luck with your research!
Never get into Chainlink yet, so I can't comment on this project!

It seems like a new drama is on the table, and it promises be very interesting. Surely you will receive many haters for making noise colleague Very interesting information, thanks for sharing it, I will be following the case to see how it developed.
Hmmm... Nice investigation! I must say you are really doing a great job. I really don't know what some crypto project gain in scamming the masses. This is really very bad of them.
Thanks for sharing this great post with love from @hardaeborla and I hope you have a great day ahead
