Christian Fellowship Community: Not a coincidence

CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP COMMUNITY: IT'S DIVINELY PROGRAMMED, NOT A COINCIDENCE.
Good afternoon beloved brethren and welcome to church and my blog.
How was church service at your end? Did I say church service? Oooo……….ps, sorry, I almost forgot that we are still quarantined and maintaining social distance at our homes, and thus could not go to church.

Well, I must confess that it’s not easy staying at home for two Sundays or so without going to church. Well it’s rather unfortunate and out of our control because of his global pandemic.

Away from this, the pandemic has ravished the whole world and changed our way of doing things including the place where we do such thing. Hence, our time of fellowship has changed, as well as the place of fellowship.
Could this be a way of fulfilling the scriptures which Jesus declared that “a time is coming where the place of worship would neither be in Jerusalem or Judea but that the true worshipers must worship him in spirit and in truth?

What if this is the time that Jesus said that “now is the time where the worshipers must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Hence, we may not have to be in the church (house) made by man, before we worship. We can worship Him anywhere and at anytime.

I woke early on Sunday morning and rushed to church with the hope that I would see brethren to have fellowship with but found none. I was particularly sad that I had to trek a long distance of about 15 kilometers to church.

Sure I trekked because at this time there's so means of transportation other than your legs. Hmmmmm, my heart goes out to cripples on wheel chairs, especially those that cannot afford one.

There at the church, I saw vanity of life. I saw the nothingness of life. "How could a place that few weeks ago had been bubbling suddenly turn to a debris?" I thought within.

Thoughts of the words that Jesus said to Peter also ran through my mind. Remember that the Lord said unto Peter that he is the rock upon which he would build His church and the gate of hell cannot prevail.

Yeah, CORONA virus may have cause the government world over to lock the stadiums, schools, amusement parks and even churches so to avoid the spread of the pandemic, but there's a place that the can't shut or lock down.

Could you guess where the place is?

It's the church, thee one right behind me, I had thought. But I was wrong cause if it were to be, then the purpose of it's existence may have be defeated cause the entrance doors is closed as you have seen in the picture.

So I really got a better understanding of what Jesus meant when he said that Peter is the rock that he has built His church. Do you know that Christ did not want us to have a building as a church but rather a body? That's why He commissioned it on Peter rather than on a place

So what I'm I driving at? It's simple, CORONA virus, lack of place (church) or being in prison or hospital, should not be an excuse for not worshiping God because where two or three are gather in His name He is there.

Dearly beloved, at this point in time, you must come to the knowledge that you are the church and not the building. More so, if you must worship God, then you must do so in Spirit and in truth.

Hey hold on a second, how can I end the post without telling you about the place I fellowship? I mean the geographical or physical place that I have been worshiping for the past twenty and five years now. It's called Christian Fellowship Evangelical Nigeria In-cooperated. It was founded far back 1956 even before Nigeria gained her independence.

It's a place for sound teaching of the word of God and a home for all. I would have loved to invite you to come fellowship with us but not for this lock down.

But you know what? You can do yourself a great favour not to be shut out of God's presence and having daily devotion here at this community @christianfellowship and other communities. Go through the Spirit-filled messages and words of encouragement as well as testimonies bty various member of the church like I did months back.

If you do this, I assure you that you would be glad that you did. Welcome to Christian Felllowship. Welcome to our church. Welcome to the community where love thrives.
