4 ways to improve vision without surgery
We are accustomed to considering myopia a physical disease. How do stress and emotions affect vision? And can special exercises compete on effectiveness with eye surgery?

Bates’s proposed exercises, such as palming (putting palms on closed eyes) for relaxing, swaying (tilting the head to the side), blinking to moisten the eye, or movements that change the direction and range of the eye to maintain the elasticity of the lens, are often reproduced in other copyright techniques.

The most difficult, he recalls, was a psychological moment - to remove glasses, although there was no need for them anymore. Now Eugene is 64, and he can still read small text without glasses.

In such cases, psychotherapy brings fruit. Julia Reshetnikova gives another example from practice. Parents brought a boy to her, whose eyesight fell to –6 in the first two years at school. In the course of psychotherapeutic work, it turned out that he had a conflict with his classmates, and as his problem was solved his vision improved to –3.

WORK ON YOUR OWN
Traditional Chinese medicine also recognizes that emotions affect vision.
