Mascarón de proa / Mask of te bow for Monomad Challenge
La Venaria Real es un fastuoso palacio de los Saboya que se encuentra ubicado cerca de Turin. Es una visita imprescindible que no te defraudará en ningún momento.
En este palacio se instaló, entre otras, la corte de Carlo Emmmanuelle III duque de Saboya y rey de Cerdeña (1701 - 1775).
En este barco de remos, lujosamente decorado, el rey se paseaba por el río o por un gran estanque instalado en los jardines del palacio.
Intentando impresionar, el rey recibía en él a diversas autoridades y ministros. Deslizándose plácidamente sobre el agua tranquila, junto a una orquesta, Carlo Emmanuelle III disfrutaba de ostentosas veladas fluviales comiendo y escuchando música barroca.
Era un rey muy cultivado y amante de las artes aunque no por ello descuidaba su faceta de estratega bélico. Ambicioso, llegó a conquistar la Lombardia anexionándola a sus posesiones en el Piamonte, Cerdeña y Sicilia. Años mas tarde, estos territorios conformarían el germen de la Italia unificada.

The Venaria Real is a lavish palace of the Savoy that is located near Turin. It is a must visit that will not disappoint you at any time.
In this palace was installed, among others, the court of Carlo Emmmanuelle III Duke of Savoy and King of Sardinia (1701 - 1775).
In this luxuriously decorated rowing boat, the king was walking along the river or a large pond installed in the palace gardens.
Trying to impress, the king received in him to diverse authorities and ministers. Gliding peacefully over the calm water, next to an orchestra, Carlo Emmanuelle III enjoyed glitzy fluvial evenings eating and listening to Baroque music.
He was a very cultivated king and lover of the arts although he did not neglect his role as a war strategist. Ambitious, he came to conquer Lombardy by annexing it to his possessions in Piedmont, Sardinia and Sicily. Years later, these territories would form the germ of unified Italy.

Turin tiene mucho mas de lo que yo podía suponer... con 5 días, uno se queda corto. 😊
Que belleza ese barco y que interesante historia, sin duda alguna un sitio para tener en cuenta a la hora de poder darse un gusto y viajar, saludos.
Turin es un destino turístico excepcional. No pensé que diera para tanto. Tiene, por ejemplo, un Museo Egipcio fabuloso. Es el segundo en el mundo con mas obras arqueológicas egipcias, solo después del museo del Cairo.
