The Egyptian pyramid is the name for a pyramid located in Egypt known as the "pyramid country" despite the large pyramidal sites found on the Yucatan Peninsula which is the center of Mayan civilization. In Egypt generally pyramids are used as tombs of ancient Egyptian kings known as pharaohs. Yet centuries ago the pyramids were often used as targets for plunder and grave robbers because the kings carried their treasures and all kinds of artifacts in the afterlife, though they were given protection with some kind of curse to prevent them. So that in the days of the ancient Egyptian kings next, the tombs of kings and nobles were placed in a hidden valley as well as the tomb of King Tutankhamun found intact and complete. Pyramid was not made carelessly. Ancient Egyptian engineers first calculated the distance of the pyramid with the sun, because the sun is one of the most important things in the life of ancient Egyptian society. Today's scientists also recognize their greatness in building a pyramid that includes the seven wonders of this world. The time, possessions, and energy spent for the construction of the pyramids were enormous. The construction of the pyramid takes about twenty years and employs over ten thousand slaves, and many of whose lives are floating. The biggest pyramids are in Giza.
