#freewriting - Lilo and Stitch

So Stitch it is.

If I hear Stitch it think of "Lilo and Stitch."
It is not my favourite animation, mainly because it is drawn in a very ugly way. Are Hawaiian people really that ugly? I like the first and classic cartoons way more. It is clear there isn't much time invested in ithis computer animation, neither it shows it is made with love and care.

The story is about a sister taking care of her little sister who is kind of stubborn and loves to make her life miserable (not always on purpose but still). CPS is on its way to check out how the sister is doing. Stitch is the dog given to Lilo. He turns out not to be a dog at all but a project of aliens (a not very well functioning one).

It is hard to believe people look the way they do as painted in this animation. The bodyshapes and noses for example (in Holland we call it a potatoe nose, says enough). I wonder how come the red haired, spoiled, white bully looks less like an idiot and not like a bag of potatoes.

Lilo's behaviour - driving her sister nuts - and the fear for CPS are very realistic for sure.
So is the bully and are the aliens (whatever they may be). If you focus on the dialogues you might forget about what the people look like.

I wonder how it would be to have Stitch for a pet.
Have you noticed those teeth? Very handy if you have a bully around (or CPS). They do remind me a bit of the teeth puppies have. As sharp as razorblades. Soon my puppies will have them too, which means I will not let them chew at my fingers any longer.

**Today the little girl (both pups still have no name so for the time being we call them: "Boy and Girl" after the two kids in the film: Bird box or "Sister and Brother" after a fairy tale) spent a lot of time chewing on me and her brother. She must have thought: that is what brothers are for. He doesn't seem to care about it (tough guy) so I let her. I assume within a few days he will do the same to her.
