There are things I shall probably never know

Just lately I've been forgetting things a lot but perhaps they are not that important; there again there are things I may never know that may be important; whatever...

I’ve heard it’s difficult to climb on the band wagon after the age when you’re dead and gone. And then there are those that say never give up. I met a man once who’d said these things to me, and after giving me a bear-hug disappeared right out of my life so that I never heard from him again. But it is okay, I get my information now from other sources.
I hear the machine is defeated and is growing peaches down south somewhere which made me want to grow something too; maybe a pizza with all the trimmings.

Can I take that to the nth degree, jazz it up a little and give it a nickname, said the boiled egg that had been following me every morning for months now.
Of course you can, just bring it back with a tank full of gas, I said to it as I did my daily crossword puzzle.
There are things I shall probably never know for sure without an explanation, but that’s alright, I can be found here anytime after midnight trying to tune in the radio, to that station that just has to be found before I turn back into dust.
Inside the game I was playing I saw too many layers of the dust expanding for me to ever be sure I could comprehend them before they got to me and turned me into the next part of the question I had to cry out: who am I and what is my name?

I had holes where all the knowing should be, and as I grew into me, so far from the beginning, I had the sensation that the ground was going to make sounds soon for me to come home.
There are no devils with the friend, I thought, and grew an inch taller over all in hope of this to be true where over time I would find it so.
Now let me tell you a thousand stupid poems that no one shall ever know…
