We can learn valuable lessons through tragedy. Why? Tragedy for the most part leaves so much of an impact on peoples lives, until it is almost impossible to not learn from it. The Kenneka Jenkins story has a few lessons.

Kenneka Jenkins is a 19 year old girl, who left her Chicago home to go to a "birthday" party with friends, at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Chicago on Sept 8, 2017. Kenneka ends up missing and then her body was found Sept 10, 2017 in a walk-in freezer inside of the hotel. As odd as it sounds this case is still under investigation.

What brought so much light to this particular incident is social media. Leading up to Kenneka's death, those that were going to attend and or attended, posted pictures and videos, even did some "lives" on all the popular social media platform. When Kenneka was found dead all these posts, videos and "lives" went viral. Unfortunately, there are so many stories looming around that it's scary and very sad. There are tons of speculations about her death. From raped, to drug over dose or alcohol over dose and etc.

Here's one video that was made that night. Kenneka is in this room while this video is being made. The young girl in the video allegedly had set up Kenneka for money for a couple of guys who had ill intent that was in the room....

The next video is all the young people in the one room of the Crowne Plaza in Chicago...

This last video is the state of Kenneka last seen...

A lot of unanswered questions. A tragedy in it's own right. But what did we learn from this...

  1. Some parents need to get a better connection with their children. We have to teach our children about morals and values. All of those kids in that hotel room were young! Where are their parents? Alcohol, weed and etc... was any of this legal?

  2. In today's times as a parent you have to understand who your children call friend, and who these friends are. It starts off when they're small and it never ends. You have more experience in life than your child.

  3. It takes a village to raise a child. People need to understand about unity and helping one another. How come this case is not solved? With all these individuals called "Friends", no one knows what happen?

  4. Spare the rod, spoil the child needs to be implemented again. As you can see none of these kids seem like they were afraid of anything. This is a serious problem.

A life was taken. This is not a black or white issue. This is human life being taken for no reason issue...

Go grab your children and let them know that you love them...
