Favorite Old School Documentary Movies 🎥🎥

in #movies7 years ago

One of the movie genres that I really enjoy is a documentary movie.
According to Wikipedia "The documentary movie is a film that documents a reality."

Since childhood, I had always liked to watch documentaries on TV, when it was mostly a documentary about animals.

My fascination with the documentary grew as I got to know the internet. At that time I realized many good documentaries had been produced, but I have never seen them.

I also began to diligently hunt for interesting movie titles and watch them one by one. Amongst these titles, some end up being my favorite movie following.

No Sex Please, We’re Japanese (2013)

What is your imagination about a country called Japan ?.

Honestly, I always thought of Japan as a country full of kawaii girls and handsome men, like in movies or anime.

In fact, Japan is a country with a majority of the population aged and elderly.

The birth rate in this country is meager. One reason is that of the high cost of living that most Japanese people are reluctant to marry.

This is still exacerbated by the attitude of the Japanese women who are a very first career. The men, meanwhile, are mostly busy with their own toys. Even some prefer dating with anime characters

Japanese people's reluctance to have children can be said to be at a critical level, to the point that in this movie is told there is a city that once crowded now become deserted because ran out of the population.

The Class of ‘92 (2013)

The 90's period is arguably the golden period of one of England's biggest soccer clubs, Manchester United (MU). In this period they managed to win some domestic and European titles.

In addition to the blessing of legendary coach Sir Alex Ferguson, United's success can not be separated from a group of players known as the class of '92.

The players who are the original product of the MU academy are David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Phil and Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, etc.

Starting from the success of the FA Youth League in 1992, the class of '92 continues to bring the Red Devils to victory in England and Europe to the peak when they bring MU dramatically beat FC Bayern Munich in the final of the Champions League 98/99 while ensuring treble achievement (3 degrees In one season).

Even though you are not a supporter of Manchester United, this film will still be entertaining to watch as it reveals the stories and secrets of one of the best generations in football history.

Journey to The Edge of Universe (2008)

Our earth is old; soon we will no longer be able to occupy it. When that day comes, we can not help leaving this Earth and searching for a new planet out there.

This film invites us to explore the various planets and galaxies to explore the possibility of the existence of a new planet that we can live in the future.

Jerusalem (2013)

Jerusalem is a very unique city. This is because Jerusalem is a city that is considered sacred to the three major religions of the world, Christianity, Islam, and Judaism.

The film discusses the history and the important parts of Jerusalem and why this city can be a place that has always attracted the attention of many people from time to time.

Deep Web (2015)

I used to think that Deep Web is a myth. Apparently, the place does exist.

For those of you who do not know, Deep Web is the deepest and darkest in the web world. Like the sea, the internet world we've been exploring only the surface of it.

The bigger and deeper parts, which can not be accessed with the ordinary browser are called Deep Web.

Deep Web is becoming increasingly mysterious because it is said to contain a lot of forbidden content such as human organ trafficking, pedophilia, drug trafficking and so on.

This film reveals the story of the arrest of someone suspected of being a dealer in the Deep Web by the FBI.

From there we can know what exactly is the deep web and how dangerous to play there.

Cosmos, A Spacetime Odyssey (2014)

This is a series of 13 episodes movie. Guided by renowned scientist Neil DeGrasse Tyson. This series invites us to explore all things related to the universe.

The series features many spectacular images, ranging from star explosions (supernovas), black holes, galaxies, to processes that occur in a plant in microscopic size.

There are also fascinating tales from ancient scientists in their attempts to solve the mysteries of the universe.

Watching this series made me realize how small and vulnerable the earth we live in so far.

That was some of my favorite documentaries movie so far. Of course, this list will still change or increase as I'm sure there are still plenty of good documentaries I have not seen yet.
If you guys have a good movie recommendation for me to watch, please comment below...
