🎬Watching novelties: Absentia, SEAL Team and Extinct
Hello!
Today in a short review: the return of Stana Katic, another series about special forces and the salvation of the world, and the revival of the human race.
Absentia
Cast: Stana Katic, Patrick Heusinger, Cara Theobold, Bruno Bichir, Angel Bonanni, Paul Freeman
Plot: FBI agent Emily Byrne disappeared 6 years ago. Her body was not found, but the alleged killer is in prison. Emily's husband married a long time ago and her son calls her mother. Everything changes when Emily is found.
Available episodes: 4
My opinion: I watched 2 episodes and I like this show, although it's very similar to the "Blindspot", there's only one story to investigate in "Absentia". "Absentia" is made better than the "Blindspot".
Actress Stana Katic plays her character of a memory-losing FBI agent well. Relatives are already especially not pleased with her return - they survived her death, reconciled with this idea and then she resurrected. I can feel her pain. I still have negative emotions to her husband and son. For 6 years, the father raised his son so that he does not want to remember his mother, although in American TV series like to show suffering about the departed parents. The dog had more joy from meeting Emily than the rest of her family.
I guess the suspects will be all the characters of the series and in the end, they choose the most unexpected. For example, Emily's son).

SEAL Team
Cast: David Boreanaz, Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., A.J. Buckley, Jessica Paré, Calvin Williams.
Plot: Elite squad of US special forces rescues the world in each episode.
Available episodes: 2
My opinion: It seems that the actors from the vampire TV series were gathered in "SEAL Team").
In general, "SEAL Team" is very weak. Against its backdrop, the "SIX" looks like a masterpiece, but perhaps "SEAL Team" have been shot so that everyone rushed to watch The Brave.
The characters are uninteresting, the actors do not even try to act. I have nothing more to say, I could not even watch the pilot completely.

Extinct
Cast: Victoria Atkin, Matthew Bellows, Chad Collins, Jack DePew, Yorke Fryer, Jaclyn Hales.
Plot: 400 years ago, the human race was destroyed by aliens. Suddenly, the aliens come to their senses and decided to revive people, but not everything is as simple as it seems.
Available episodes: 8
My opinion: Extinct is the TV series an acquired taste. It reminds me very much of Mars from the National Geographic Channel, perhaps because of the red landscapes.
I will continue to watch it, since I am interested in the subject of extinction of mankind, invasion of aliens, etc. The first episode was intrigued by the plot, although you do not expect an impressive acting game. Sometimes, it was even funny and naive. The main themes on the plot: what is really happening, how to get along with the alien race that destroyed humanity.
The series was made by BYUtv. This TV channel is created, managed and funded by Brigham Young University. In turn, the university was created by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
While I did not find religious propaganda in the first episode, it's possible that something will come next.
