Deutsch im Anschluß...

Hello, Dear Dreamers!

As announced and promised, I have spent the last few days working on the Dream Steem Community's "book publication" project.

The plan has become a little more concrete: there will initially be an English-language e-book that will be distributed worldwide via the usual platforms. We will also be publishing a print edition; this will have a small initial print run and will then be launched on the international market "on demand", i.e. depending on the level of interest.

I have already reserved the necessary ISBN numbers (also for possible follow-up projects - they are cheaper in packs of ten ;-))

The question of the selection for our first book had been answered for me in the form that our weekly "Keyword of the Week" and the corresponding participations provide the basis.

Can you still remember all the keywords?

I have filtered out the best entries from all the competitions using the tags requested in each case. I feel very sorry for the participants who did not use these tags despite the respective hints - another hint at this point that the tags are used sensibly for better findability and are not requested for the sake of it.

This has resulted in a (very long) longlist, which I would like to shorten to a publishable length in the coming week.

Of course, some authors who take part in our competitions very often are predestined to appear more often on this longlist. I would like to make this varying level of commitment visible in the publication, but also offer as many authors as possible a further platform.

Below you will find a list of all the dreamers whose texts have ended up in my pre-selection and whom I hereby ask to let me know in the comments whether they would like to be mentioned with their real name in addition to their account name, which I would mention in any case; those who wish to remain "anonymous" will then be listed in exactly that way...

I told you... A long list. I'm trying to achieve as fair a distribution as possible while maintaining the high quality of the selected texts. I would like to present you with the results by the middle of the month at the latest.

By the way, I'm still unsure how to deal with the authors who don't get in touch now because they are no longer active on the Steem. I tend to think that I shouldn't use any texts for our anthology without their express consent.

Full of anticipation for your thoughts on this, I am now waiting to see how you position yourselves...

Hallo, liebe Träumer!

Wie angekündigt und versprochen, habe ich mich in den letzten Tagen mit dem Projekt „Buchveröffentlichung“ der Dream Steem Community beschäftigt.

Der Plan hat sich etwas konkretisiert: es wird zunächst ein englischsprachiges e-Book geben, das über die gängigen Plattformen weltweit vertrieben wird. Außerdem werden wir zusätzlich eine Printausgabe verlegen; diese wird mit einer kleinen Startauflage und anschließend „on Demand“, also abhängig von der Nachfrage, auf den internationalen Markt kommen.

Die Frage der Auswahl für unseren Erstling hatte für mich in der Form beantwortet, als daß unser wöchentliches “Schlüsselwort der Woche“ und die dazugehörigen Teilnahmen die Basis liefern.

Ich habe aus allen Wettbewerben unter Zuhilfenahme der jeweils erbetenen tags die besten Beiträge herausgefiltert. Die Teilnehmer, die auf diese tags trotz der entsprechenden Hinweise verzichtet haben, tun mir an der Stelle herzlich leid – ein erneuter Hinweis an dieser Stelle, daß die tags sinnvoll verwendet der besseren Findbarkeit dienen und nicht aus Jux und Dallerei gefordert werden.

Daraus wurde eine (sehr lange) Longlist, die ich in der kommenden Woche auf einen veröffentlichungsreifen Umfang einkürzen möchte.

Natürlich sind einige Autoren, die sich sehr oft an unseren Wettbewerben beteiligen, prädestiniert dafür, öfter auf dieser Longlist zu erscheinen. Ich möchte dieses unterschiedliche Engagement durchaus auch in der Publikation sichtbar machen, aber andererseits möglichst vielen Autoren eine weitere Plattform bieten.

Nachfolgend findet Ihr schon einmal eine Auflistung aller Träumer, deren Texte in meiner Vorauswahl gelandet sind und die ich hiermit bitte, in den Kommentaren mitzuteilen, ob sie neben dem Account-Namen, den ich in jedem Fall nennen würde, auch mit ihrem Klarnamen erwähnt werden möchten; wer „anonym“ bleiben möchte, wird dann genau so aufgeführt…

Ich sagte ja… Eine lange Liste. Ich versuche, bei durchgehend hoher Qualität der ausgewählten Texte eine möglichst faire Verteilung zu erreichen. Mitte des Monats möchte ich Euch spätestens das Ergebnis vorlegen.

Übrigens bin ich noch unsicher, wie ich mit den Autoren umgehe, die sich jetzt nicht melden, weil sie schon gar nicht mehr aktiv sind auf dem Steem. Ich tendiere zu der Ansicht, daß ich ohne eine solche ausdrückliche Einwilligung keine Texte für unsere Anthologie verwenden sollte.

Voller Vorfreude auf Eure Gedanken dazu warte ich jetzt ab, wie Ihr Euch positioniert…
