Dumb and dumber off on a road trip!!
Now I don't know about you lot but when works says "you have to go off on a training course" it really pisses me off!! But it was made bearable and slightly better because I found out my personal chauffeur for the day was going to be my boss and buddy @huw28582
That's right, today you're my bitch!!
Now the title of this blog is dumb and dumber but now I'm thinking it should be re-named "Doug and dumber"....
I told you @huw28582 looked like Doug!!
So what is it you actually do??
The answer to that my friends is as little as possible.....
I do work for the NHS and it does involves looking down a microscope for 7 1/2 hours a day.
I spend my days pretty much naming different types of cells.
And by naming them I mean:
OK not exactly naming them but looking at every single cell on a prepared slide and looking for pre-cancerous changes. We are cytologists, we look at cells from a ladies front bottom!! More commonly known as a pap test or Papanicolaou test.
So as suspected the training day was a complete waste of time but I did manage to get him to make me cups of coffee all day. I told you he was my bitch!!
After a really pointless day in a foreign country, oh yeah I forgot to mention we had to leave Wales and go to England for all this pointless training, you can't beat the rush hour traffic jams on the way home. You can just see the delight in the bosses eyes
Now after telling him to get in the outside lane, for at least 45mins he finally decides to listen to me and we are on the move.
It doesn't take long before we make it back to Wales. In case you didn't know, in order to get across the bridge that brings you in to Wales, they have the cheek to charge you!!
So that's how I spent my day today, I haven't had time to check out all your blogs today, so it's time to play catch up.
Just when you think you've had a bad day, remember poor old huw28582 had to spend 10hours with me today.....
...but at least you got out of the house. I've spent the last few weeks working from home and it is NOW driving me mad. This is a great post, thanks. Great to share someone else's life. Love the microscopic picture!! More please.

It's tedious and you lose all perspective on life. I believe my knees are starting to hate me for it too. At least I'm sensible to reduce the calorie intake!
Well done man, commendable work! My wife just politely reminded me as I made fun of you, that someone doing exactly what you do, had a big part in saving my mom's life!
Ps I was only making fun of the fact you called it a "front bottom" otherwise I kinda though some machine did that job. Unfortunately I have to do the job collecting the cells, I'd rather be doing the microscope side.
It pays the bills and it's different everyday. I used to do a completely different job, a lifetime ago, but for now it's interesting and it does give good job satisfaction.
