I was introduced to Steemit via cryptocurrency. In the last year, I’ve had fun investing and exploring the crypto world.

At first I was only interested in the investment perspective, but as a programmer I soon learned that most (not all) of these cryptocurrency coins, tokens, and projects really had a purpose behind them!

My wife and I have nine children (blended family) and we just became grandparents, which is really fun.

I really enjoy mountain running, and Utah has the prettiest mountains in the world. OK, I’m a little biased. We have a goal to visit every National Park in the United States, and I’ll find trails to run in each one. I think I’ve run in 5 or 6 National Parks so far.

I’m brand new to Steemit, and still exploring my way around. I got out of prison in 2006. I was a counselor (with a 20 year sentence, but I got out after eight years for good behavior). Since then I’ve had my own business, developing apps (18) and websites (well over 100), and writing books (12 or so, but I haven’t written one for a while).

I love the diversity of human interests. I’ve got strong opinions and preferences, but I’m not dumb enough to think that everyone will agree with me.

Other hobbies are reading and landscaping. I also have a few YouTube videos - here is one below, on Five Secrets, for Men, on How to Totally Satisfy Your Woman.

Steemit is a super example of using the blockchain for a specific purpose. There are so many blockchain projects in the works, but Steemit is working, and has been for a while. I'll jump in and explore more.

Welcome! I am a big fan of the Utah parks. I have been to Bryce and Zion three times, most recently this past summer with my wife and kids.

Zions is one of my favorites! Angel's Landing is stellar. That's one of my top two mountain runs of all time. The other is the Primitive Trail at Arches.

Angels Landing is definitely on the list when we return and the kids are a little older. This spring it’s a Rim to Rim hike with my son at Grand Canyon.

Hey! Welcome to Steemit! This community is amazing but does take some getting use to since it’s a bit different than the other social media platforms.

I joined Steemit December 30th, 2017 and have had a blast networking, learning and earning (actually made some pretty good money so far)!

I'd suggest signing up for these free applications for Steemit that gets you upvotes and followers. The first thing you need to do as a new user is to increase your STEEM POWER (SP), which increases your visibility and voting power. These were a huge help for me.
