They Are Getting Bitcoin Options In The States!steemCreated with Sketch.

Big news for investors in the states. For the first time there will be a federally regulated options for bitcoin. It is a New York company LedgerX that is offering the options and you can have 1-6 month option contract. To be honest I do not know much about options, all I know is that it allows you to buy the stock at an agreed upon price in a time frame. If someone is the comments wants to explain it better please do :)

What matter from a cryptocurrency perspective is this good news coming the US. The US has not been as active in the crypto sphere as other countries have. That tried for an ETF but without any luck. I think there will be more attempts in the future. The US is the biggest market in the world and their presence in bitcoin would really help the currency push.

Not sure if this is good news. You would wish they did not find a way to control anything about Bitcoin. With options trading a lot can be controlled

Cryptocurrency will never see main stream adoption if they are not regulated. A certain level of regulation is needed.

That's a fallacy if I ever saw one.

Why would you believe it to be false. You feel that main stream adoption, say even 10-15% of currency exchanged will happen if countries do not have some type of regulation on blockchain based currencies?I'm interested to see why you feel that way.

Because culture is upstream from government. Mainstream adoption comes when the public at large accepts it, not when the government regulates it. The government can mandate things, making them "widespread" but to say they're mainstream is something different entirely.
