If We Defund the Police, that could get interesting.

I watched a lot of protest coverage from all different cities, I found live feeds without a talking head telling me what to think of it. I avoided all the main MSM stations.

Observations: The vast majority of people were protesting fairly peacefully.
Those who were rioting and looting usually showed up towards dusk and started agitating the crowds. At that point those who were not looking for trouble tended to move away or even leave.

I saw many disgusting displays of provocation on bothsides. Disgusting looting and violence and equal cheap shots by some police who threw in some jabs and authority for no reason.

The most interesting thing I did observe, when things got crazy... One a guy pulled gun, some kids were trying to light an apartment building on fire those there tried to stop the bad thing from happening and when it got out of control they started yelling for someone to call the police.

Which was ironic.

There is all sort of talk about defunding police, I think we do need to rethink how we train and equip police. But people might want to put some thought into how to handle those changes.

Sort:

We had a police strike in my city in the early 80's. It went on and on without resolve. The crazy part was that the city did just fine without them. Folks would take turns at the flashing traffic lights. No spike to crime to my knowledge. My opinion was that we should have gotten rid of them entirely. They did crawl back and excepted whatever the city was offering. Missed our chance in my opinion.

The truth is that they do nothing for us. They do not stop anyone from committing a crime against you. They will just seek revenge for you after the fact. Fire them all!

I can see that.

I also think that it is time to retrain/renovate police personnel/system.

Every police force in every city and state of the US is sent to Isreal for training for at least a few weeks. There they are taught military style training and how to use the wonderful crowd control weaponry that Isreal produces after first testing them on the people of Gaza. They return to the US with the military mind set of policing.

Yes hard to believe, yet it happens with every US police force. It is the classic case of following the money when looking for a reason for something. Isreal leads the world in crowd suppressing solutions and weaponry having practised on the people of Gaza for so long.

The fellow in the video has a much longer one on YouTube that goes into great detail about it.
