Winter Walk Along the River
Earlier this week we had a bright sunny day that called for getting outdoors.
We took a walk along the Columbia River. While the day was bright and sunny, there was a light breeze and it was actually pretty cold outside.
While Joe is feeling better he is still very thin and he gets cold easily, so we had to keep the walk short it was nice to get outside.
The winter desert isn't all that pretty, but we walked up on these geese.
They immediately relocated to the river, with some squawking and grumbling, they got out of the path and swam away.
The following day it started to snow and hasn't stopped yet.
I can't wait for Spring.

It makes me happy to hear that you and Joe were able to go out there together and that he's doing OK... still sending good vibes for health and a full recovery.
We had our designer snow here on Satuday...it has already melted again (Tuesday night), but it was pretty to look at...
I am SO happy to hear that Joe is feeling better. There's been several times I wanted to ask how he was doing but didn't want to hijack a post that had nothing to do with that subject. You both have been in my thoughts so many times since I first heard the news and the prayers and well wishes continue.
The winter landscape can be so stark and barren, but to me, the beauty still exists. Maybe it is the hope that new life lurks just below the surface of the dried out grasses and sticks. Don't know how those geese can swim in that frigid water though!

We are in the waiting game phase. New scans and result in a month or so, but for now things are feeling stable and more okay
