Week 11: Food Aid Delivered To Assurance Schools

Within a twinkle of an eye, the maiden project has completed its cycle in this current academic term. For me, I am just amazed and will use this opportunity to appreciate @steemkidss and @worldsmile for their unwavering support in terms of finances and otherwise making sure the project continues. The smile created during this past weeks is something that is worth more than gold. The children and the school management happiness during each visit give the hope that we can change the world. Without further ado, lets get to the narrative of the final week.

Prior to the day, we were given the proposed school location and time of visit. On that fateful day, I joined fitness enthusiasts in the Stay fit club for a workout and a football session. After the session, I had to change up for the event. I left in the company of @kidi40 and @alli001 to the proposed location. The school was kind of hidden and hard to locate at first.

On enquiry, we located the school to find out that other teammates were on spot. we exchanged pleasantries and entered the school. The children were gathered in multiple files according to their classes and the teacher was present too. @ngoenyi introduced herself and the motive of the team to the school.

According to her, she said the proprietress of the school asked her many questions but she promised that she will answer on this very day. With that, the proprietress understood her mission better like the teachers and the students. After the introduction and the speech, the foodstuffs were shared among the children.

We made sure that everyone was given and no one was left out. After the distribution, we saw the joy visibly written on their face. With that, music was played and the children danced out their excitement.

During the weeks of this project, there is one song that can't escape in our playlist which is Joy is coming - Fido. If you are a Nigerian, we can know the reason why and non Nigerians can stream it to understand better.

The children and the management expressed their gratitude to the team and the sponsors of the projects for visiting their school. What I noticed so far on this great project is that a child's talent can come up if given the right opportunity.
