Choreography of Disaster...what inspires you as an artist?
Surrealism and advertising have this in common...the eagerness to attract the eye, to destabilize the viewer. As I come from the ad world I've been always attracted by photos.
An image tells more than a thousand words. They consist in some kind of neutral base, my paintbox, that I interpret in my own way and that is different from a drawing or a painting that is already an interpretation in itself.
If I would be a philosopher I guess I would write about my works in the following terms
A meditation on human conduct, bringing forward a civilization exhausted by the upsurge of the turbid elements to its corrupted condition, its depraved deeds and demands.
But I'm not sure that I would understand my own writing.
So let's have a look instead on this work made 2 years ago -
"Let's Vodoo"
motion-art by Werner Hornung
THE BETTER YOU LOOK THE MORE YOU SEE
Nice art @whornung sir, An artist is a receptacle for emotions that come from all over the place: from the sky, from the earth, from a scrap of paper, from a passing shape, from a spider's web.
yeah...and I'm sure you forgot some...
