I Ran Six Miles, Then I Dreamed Three Scenes (Music and Brief Screenplay)

Today I finally flipped the bird to the weather and went running in the raw rain. Managed 6.4 miles in an hour. It felt good. I've had three days without any real exercise and if I go any longer than that I start to go crazy.
But maybe it's already too late!
The sleep attack came hard shortly after I got home, and there was a rush to get showered and onto the couch before the flu-like symptoms of narcolepsy reached full force. To cut out some of the background noise around here (quail and chickens can make a racket) I crammed some ear-buds in and pawed Spotify to life without paying too much attention to what it chose.
So I fell asleep listening to Murcof and Vanessa Wagner performing Arvo Part.
It's great stuff, but the rest of the album is less sonorous.
I kept waking up in the middle of scenes that were more real than the room around me. In the first two I was just watching. A camera without a body.
But in the last one I was there. It was my story.
It's been ages since I've had dreams like this. I'm not sure whether or not I miss them.
Apparently, on a rainy day, my subconscious goes for techno-thriller suspense with some family drama thrown in. (Which is weird because that's not what I watch on TV.) I'm not really sure these scenes are connected in any way, but something tells me they might be.
I was glad to wake up from the last one. Something tells me shit in that fictional pocket universe is about to get really uncomfortable.
The Internet better not become sentient... It knows too much😬

Bahahaha, I forget dry wit and type face can be sterner then one wishes to portray. It's the first thing I think of when I hear BP😢 But that is great organizational skills, having a whiteboard. I have a chalkboard but it's only used for grocery lists.
I tried keeping a grocery list on it but it was really hard to carry to the store.
You have some vivid dreams there. When I can remember my dreams more times then not I look at them very closely.
Once I woke up in a panic about water pouring into the house. My Wife told me everything was fine, then 45 minutes later I got a call about the ceiling falling in the first floor apartment in a building I owned. The tenant in the second floor had left the water running and it was leaking into the unit below.
This isn't nearly the only time my dreams tied into real life. Just wish I could see the lottery numbers in my dream....lol
That sucks about the water damage. I hope the insurance company took care of you.
Sounds like you've got a good subconscious power for premonitions. The challenge is interpretation! Isn't there some Greek myth about being able to see the future and not understand it?
Oh trust me the interpretation can be a PITA. There have been times I've followed my gut from what I thought my dream was saying and it was the completely opposite of reality. But once everything played out I could see exactly how the dream made sense.
Then again I've stopped at a green light before because something inside me said STOP, my Wife starts to yell at me the light is green what are you going....and then a Rock Truck blows though the intersection never even pausing at the light. I never fight my premonitions. That happened to be the first time my Wife (was Girlfriend at the time) believed me about my premonitions. It's kind of freaky.
Now I listen carefully to what the kids dream about. Want to see if there is any pattern there. Not sure if we all have it and you just need to listen or if it's a gift that I have that maybe was passed onto them. But if they have it I want them to understand it sooner then later.
As for the damage I had a huge deductible to keep costs down so it was up to me to take care of the repairs. But it was a good learning experience and taught me not to have rental buildings...lol.
Maybe it is because I took many drugs for my ear infection and I feel very sensitive, but this music makes me cry :'(

I'm afraid my body is bound to disappoint! I'm getting "dad-bod" despite the lack of children, and despite all the running this spare tire keeps growing around my waist. Although if someone wanted to pay to watch me get a hot stone massage I probably wouldn't turn down the opportunity!

The third scene is my favorite. The whole "automated transportation rebellion" was something definitely worth exploring. Upvoted & followed!
Thanks. I'm not sure I'm going anywhere with this but it was fun to play with Scrivener's scriptwriting mode for a while - it's actually a pretty powerful feature!
